By nature, I am a flirt. I NEVER take it to the 'dangerous'parade level, ever. I'd never cheat on DH, I am just always working w/the public so I guess for me it's natural to try and be 'likeable'?
What about you? Are you a flirt?

Nope. I even get a bit snippy if someone mistakes my cheerfulness as flirting. Fall back, I am just being upbeat/ polite.
pomegranate / 3759 posts
Maybe a little shy/flirty. Especially if the guy is cute. I would never do anything bad but it's just a natural response. My only other option would be to completely ignore and come off as a b**** and I don't like doing that!

I'm bad Hahahaha...I always tell myself: self, keep it in your pants.
And I do. I just flirt.
coconut / 8305 posts
Nope... we're a no flirting with anyone but each other kind of couple.

@runsyellowlites: agreed.
One of my really good guy friends; he's a natural flirt (he's Latin!) but means no harm and he found out right away that I don't stand for that. Now he's like my girlfriend.
pomelo / 5509 posts
Nope, but only because I don't know how to flirt. I'm just weird and awkward.
pomegranate / 3204 posts
Not anymore! I used to be a little flirty. Now I just don't like talking to people lol.

@babyjmama: Don't feel bad! I am a flirt too. To be fair, I don't say anything to anyone that I wouldn't want my husband to see but he knows how I am and doesn't mind. It's always in a good-natured/teasing way and not in a "sexy" way if that makes sense. I'm just more loud/outgoing and so I like to make people smile!

I think people often mistake me being nice and accommodating as flirting? I would say my husband is more flirty than I am though.
grapefruit / 4136 posts
@rsp213: oh pfew! I'm the same way and Dh knows it, he's not worried I'm going anywhere
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
I think there's a difference between being very nice, friendly & outgoing and flirting. And I guess if it's part of your personality and your DH has no issues then there's no problem.
I would probably refrain from "flirting" with other married men though! It can easily be misinterpreted!
But I have known other women to flirt with my DH before they saw his ring and I find it flattering. But not if it was regularly! Then I'll have to get nah-stay!
grapefruit / 4136 posts
I guess when j say 'flirt' I mean smile/joking around, not like haaaaay sexy dudes look at my boobies! I make really bad jokes, smile and move along. That's my idea of flirting, maybe that's why I was labeled the weird one haha!
eggplant / 11824 posts
I don't think I flirt, but I am more comfortable with men than women and have a lot of male friends so I'm used to being very upfront with men, joking with them and giving them "the business", which I think a lot of people misinterpret for flirting.
nectarine / 2765 posts
@babyjmama: pffft...nothing to feel bad about! I can be flirty...whether its the waiter, clients at work or the barista at Starbucks, I flirt. It's never over the line or overly suggestive, more fun. In the same way, DH is also very friendly/flirty and it certainly doesn't bother me one bit. Now, if I think there is an attraction from the other party, they get cut off. No more flirty for them.
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
@babyjmama: ohhhhhh that's totally different!
I'm just thinking of my one ex co-worker. She was with her BF for ever and is a total flirt! Other male co-workers flirt with her and she flirts back. Boobies hanging out etc. Even though she disguises it with being "nice". But she put the kaboosh on it when her BF finally put a ring on it!

I used to be an excellent flirt, back in my teen years. But I think I grew out of it once I had been with my husband for a few years. Now I think I'd be terribly awkward at it.
I'm amazed at how often little old men try to flirt with me, though.
pineapple / 12802 posts
@regberadaisy: HA! I have totally caught chicks checking DH out! I always tell him and tease him and he just scoffs at me! hahaha.
grapefruit / 4136 posts
@regberadaisy: lol yeah I guess my view of flirting is a little less obvious or def not sexual! When I was younger I totally did that tho, buuiuuut I can't pull it off now that I'm old balls.
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
@.twist.: he's in sales and gets flirted with a lot! The one time he forgot ("forgot" ) to put his ring on and this one chick asked him out. He had to explain that he left his ring at home and she got all flustered and felt bad. I thought that was sweet that she felt bad.
Don't be poaching on my man, sister!
pineapple / 12802 posts
@regberadaisy: haha! My husband can't wear his rings to work (high labour job!) AND he works often out in the hot sun, so he doesn't wear a shirt.... He gets flirted with OFTEN. He get's to explain that he's married a lot.
As my husband would say "Get off my kool-aid!"

I'm kinda flirty. Like you, it's in a fun non-serious way and nothing I wouldn't mind DH seeing. He even kind of likes it because he says I get a confidence boost and then he gets all the benefits. We also flirt with each other a lot
hostess / wonderful honeydew / 32460 posts
People used to mistake my friendliness for flirting.
Since getting married and being a mom, I don't have a chance to be nice/flirty since I hardly ever go out!
grapefruit / 4136 posts
@chopsuey119: flirt with your hot hubby! (see below....)
I think bc I'm open about who I find attractive (DH is the same way and we are totally respectful about it, but don't feel the need to hide it either...? We both VERY much have a type, that luckily we both fall into) people think I'm a bad girl lol but I'm so not the person who would initiate anything...neither is DH...how we ended up together is a damn miracle.
coconut / 8475 posts
@Mrs. Lemon-Lime: yup. As soon as they get too smiley, I'm like 'oh, you've mistaken my kindness as flirting?!' Must tone it down.
@babyjmama: @Running Elley: bad girls! Jk;)
I think I'm too brain fried to be flirtatious. I am kind of dry sometimes, depending on my mood.

@Springtime: LOL
@babyjmama: I'm a little flirty, but like @chopsuey119, people often mistake my friendliness for flirting.
nectarine / 2667 posts
@babyjmama: flirty is my default personality. It's not to instigate, but I'm pretty friendly and outgoing in social situations & I schmooze. My husband says I get "chatty", but it doesn't bother him. Have you ever watched Kristen Bell do talk show interviews? I feel like that's how I classify "flirting": sassy, a little suggestive, but all in good fun.
pomegranate / 3521 posts
I can be really outgoing and friendly which can sometimes be confused as flirting.. maybe? but I also talk about my husband a lot so that sort of cancels out any thoughts of having a chance.
blogger / watermelon / 14218 posts
oh God, I'm such a good flirt, it's really bad. I miss it sometimes. But I don't flirt anymore! Maybe with elderly men
ok. That whole comment was just horribly sketchy.
grapefruit / 4582 posts
@babyjmama: yes! this is my type of flirting. weird sexy flirting has never been my style lol
