I'm not at all and I think my hubs is secretly concerned at how much I don't care about germs.
The only time I care-ish about germs is when LO is exposed to them (ie. if someone is sick, I will avoid them if I have LO with me).

I'm not at all and DH is even less so. We're lucky that LO seems to have a pretty healthy immune system. I think if we'd had a reason to need to be more concerned about exposing LO to pathogens, it would have been really rough to get DH to take it seriously.

I am not. I am only worried about my baby coming in contact with germs for the first few weeks but once they are old enough to go to day care (6 weeks and up) I wont freak out if someone touches their hand or something.

I'm not. My husband usually isn't either but he is when it comes to LO.

We're pretty laid back about it. People did just fine without anti-bacterial this and that for centuries. I think being a germaphobe can often end up doing more harm than good. (Obviously within reason though...)

Yep. I don't walk around sanitizing everything, but if I can avoid touching something or people, I do. I hate shoes in the house because of bathroom floors, dog poop, etc. No, they don't live long, but it makes me feel better...plus, that's what the mud room is for. I also don't allow outside clothes in the bed. My SO hates that one, oh,well. He is a free man with germs.
Still teaching him.lol

I'm not and neither is my husband. I always forget to keep hand sanitizer in my purse.

I'm easy going about most things, but what really bugs me is children that I don't know running around coughing and sneezing. Animal poop, public bathrooms, things like that don't bother me. If it is someone's kid that I know, it doesn't bother me, but going to the grocery store and getting coughed on by a stranger's kid really grosses me out- I go out of my way to avoid them, especially with my boy around.

I'm not at all. Except for public and plane toilets. It totally skeeves me out on long haul flights seeing people use the facilities bare foot or in socks. Groooooossss. Put on some shoes people! I changed LO without any of us or our possesions touching the floor or sink, bar my shoes.

Not really ... I say that because our house isn't the cleanest ever (understatement) but I like to separate the inside from outside. In other words, if it's our cooties, I'm fine with it, but when it's someone elses cooties, I can't have that.
So I make DH wash his hands before he touches me when he gets home from work. He can't wear the same shirt he's been gardening in to bed, he can't wear the same socks twice, and if he drops food while cooking, in anyway, he has to toss it.
To my defense: DH rides the bus to work, he often forgets to change clothes & leaves socks laying around, and our stovetop is usually in need of serious scrubbing. I think those are just basic things that everyone else practices, but DH is a little lax about, hence the rules =P

Yep. I insist that everyone was their hands often ( the girls hate that, their Mother doesn't make them), I sanitize the grocery cart and the bottom of LO's carsear. I was my hands every rime I touch money, I go above and beyond <--- over acheiver lol

Me too! LOL SO tried to lay in the bed in an "outside" shirt when we started dating. I have trained him now to keep those germs out.lol

Totally! I hate being sick so I avoid touching things that other people have touched (doorknobs, elevator buttons, etc) and I am using hand sanitizer like crazy. I also wipe down everything with Clorox wipes - he he

I'm a total germaphobe, but decided I needed to chill and let LO have playdates, etc. UGH. LO got sick and now DH and I are a little sick too. Hopefully the sickies will pass soon. Definitely staying home and away from germy kids and people until we're all 100%.

i think i'm 50/50. depends where we are. comfort of my own home... not so much but outside, yes. DH always tells me to chill out so that LO can build his immune... bleh!

@chopsuey119: Hope you get better soon But at least you're responsible/respectful enough to stay away from other people until you're better so that you don't pass it on!
