Dh, LO and I went to the pool while we were vacationing and I realized that I suck at swimming now.
The last time I swam (for real) was back when I was 12. TWENTY years ago.
I really don't like getting my hair wet and putting my head under water too. :T
Definitely going to have to make sure there's a life guard on duty if I ever take my LOs swimming on my own

I think I am pretty good! I had all of the swimming lessons when I was younger and my sister and I swam laps together to work out. I wouldn't say I am fast or anything like that though!

I think I'm OK but out of practice, too. I haven't done real swimming in forever.

@Andrea: next time you're in the pool try swimming! DH swam about 20 feet from me and told me to swim to him.. HAHAHAHA
... I literally doggy paddled over..

I'm an ok swimmer. I took a swimming class in college. I'm pretty slow though.

I swam competitively through college, so I'm going to go with yes on this one. However, I haven't swam a lap in over a year.

Yeah, I'm a pretty good swimmer. I plan on teaching M how to swim when it's time. I may have her go to her early swim classes with a group and then show her the rest on my own. I used to give lessons, life guard, etc so I can pull it out from 15 years ago...

I'm a pretty bad swimmer. I took lessons for awhile when I was younger, but didn't love it. Grew up with a pool, but I tended to float around more on a pool noodle than actually swim laps.

I'm a really good swimmer. I taught swimming lessons and lifeguarded every summer from 11th grade until I graduated from college.

I'm a passable swimmer, I took classes for like 10 years when I was little. I'm no lap champion, but I can get around.

I was on the swim team in high school, so yeah I consider myself to be a pretty good swimmer. I was also a lifeguard one summer.

I was on the swim team and played water polo in high school and still think I'm a pretty good swimmer. I'm not fast like I used to be though.

i used to be a strong swimmer (did lessons every summer from 5 until 15!) and was a jr. lifeguard. somewhere after that, i stopped wanting to swim for fun anymore and i think i've lost that ability, just because i'm not used to it anymore.

Yep. I swam competitively for years, lifeguarded, taught swim lessons, and now I do triathlons. I love the water!

I actually can't swim. Any swimming the kids want to do, hubs will have to be there for or it will have to be in the less than 6' pool.

I love the water and was on the swim team from middle school through HS. However, I don't think I'm as strong of a swimmer anymore.

Yes I'm a strong swimmer. I swam competitively from the time I was 5 until I was 18. My husband is a former pro athlete so there is rarely anything athletic that I can do to impress him but every time he sees me swim he is humbled a little and that makes me happy : )
