We have both in our house, but I prefer Apple. We also have iPhones and iPads.

@chopsuey119: It's mostly force of habit... I've been using PCs since I was seven!

We were always a PC family until last Valentine's Day when my husband surprised me with a MacBook Air. It is adorable and I love it. My husband thinks it's pretty cute too but refuses to switch over to Mac completely. We both work on PCs but we also both have iPhones.

@mrbee: I think you'd LOVE a mac if you got one. It'd take some time for you to learn shortcuts and get used to it, but it would definitely optimize your work flow.

@mrbee: shockeD! but I hated my mac when i first got it too. PCs are definitely more friendly.

I'm a mac and we're a mac family. I do use PCs at work.

@chopsuey119: i actually really disagree! i feel like mac's are a lot more user friendly. if you're used to using a pc, it takes a little time to get used to a mac, but i think that's because you have to unlearn the more complicated process of operating a pc. everything seems so much simpler and straight-forward on a mac. one click and you've got whatever you need. a flick of the wrist and everything you're working on is available for you.
obviously we're a mac family

PC
Partially because I'm stubborn, but also because I teach and don't want to keep switching back and forth from style to style. Macs just aren't compatible with my classroom or students.

@photojane: I think it depends on the person. If someone isn't comfortable with technology, then I will recommend a Mac or iPad every time. It's just a lot easier to learn for a new user.

PC all the way. I also am an Android user, I don't drink the Apple Kool-Aid.

@mrbee: i agree. if i were into programming or something like that, i'd probably be a pc. i know a lot of really intelligent people that would never even consider a mac. i just find them to be more enjoyable and much more user-friendly. i'm a photographer and spend all day on my computer, so my mac is indispensable to me.

@photojane: Yah, different strokes for different folks.
I started using PCs when I was seven, so I've been working with these things for a few decades now! If I were starting off now, I'd probably use a Mac or Linux box.

@photojane: yeap! it's totally because i used pc's for over 10 years before switching over! trying to get my family to start using macs, but they're PC and don't like change. -.-

@Mrs. Bee: double monitor is the way to go. Does Apple not support that?
