Both my husband and I had experiences with mean bullies at school. And I know for a fact that it's permanently scarred both of us in some way (maybe self esteem?). The school age years are so influential to building self esteem and confidence and unfortunately bullying/teasing breaks down any confidence that you've built up.

There are times when I get so worried about my children experiencing bullying/teasing that I actually consider homeschooling them. LOL. I know that social interaction is important but I don't want my kids to grow up with damaged self-esteems.

Anyone else worried about this or am I just an overly paranoid parent?
