I'm an oldest (one younger brother), but if I were born again, I'd want to be the youngest! I think it's harder being the oldest.
What about you?

Oldest and DH is the youngest, but the only boy. Makes for a good and interesting dynamic in out house!

Oldest with a younger brother. The standards are set so high if you're the oldest. My brother has it so ridiculously easy now.

I'm the oldest. I have twin brother and sister that are 8 years younger than me!

Middle of 5. So the best of both (old and young) worlds and the worst of both. DH is the oldest, as are almost all of my friends, actually.
I definitely benefited from not being the oldest in terms of my parents being less strict and being a little more comfortable financially. My older sister still (jokingly) complains that she never got a swing set or dance lessons and I did

oldest. 2 younger brothers, younger sister and younger step-brother

Oldest with a younger sister and much younger brother. I made life easy for them! I think my personality fits the bill for being the oldest though

Middle and only girl between two brothers. I like to say I was the only one who was actually planned though! Both my brothers were accidents : ) My parents had my older brother at 19-20, and my little brother was the result of a failed diaphragm.
I didn't like being the middle child. I only want kids in even numbers to avoid the middle child syndrome.

Youngest of 3. It's definitely easier being the youngest!

Middle. Sister is 18 months older and brother is 18 months younger. My parents didn't plan on us that close together.

Youngest with an older brother. But I seem to have more of the typical personality of an oldest child.

I'm the middle child. I was the only girl though so I think that also made a difference.

Oldest of 4 (that I was raised with by my mother). My sister and I are only a 1 1/2 apart so we both felt like the oldest to our twin brothers. I also have 4 other siblings from my dad.
I like being the oldest. I sign all my cards to my mom, "your flae" (first, last, and everything) haha.

I'm a muddled middle. Second oldest of five, firstborn of my father's, second of four girls in a row.
I'm not the oldest, not the youngest, not the middle child...I'm quirky and don't follow the rules!

Oldest with a younger sister and brother. DH is the oldest as well.
I always wondered what it would be like to be the youngest...my mom had two miscarriages before me, so theoretically, I'd be the youngest in that alternate universe.

Youngest here, with two older brothers (8 and 10 years old, respectively). For the most part, I agree that things are easier for the youngest. However, I was set to a much higher standard, behavior-wise, as the only girl. Also, since my parents divorced when I was 2 I'm always a little jealous that my brothers knew my mom and dad as a couple, which is something that I have never experienced.

I am #2 of 5. I am the oldest girl, though, and I think I have more characteristics of the oldest child.
I wish I was a middle. The middle in my family is so so spoiled. There is a general consensus that she is the favorite!

well I'm the youngest on my moms side. (one older brother)
I'm #2 of 5 on my dads side.

Same as @crash806 and @Smurfette... Middle w/ a older sister and younger brother. Sister is 2.5 years older and brother is about 2 years younger.
My sister acted up so much that my parents were really hard on me. I was a good kid so I loosened up my parents for my brother.
