I have 2 nephews, my sister's son and my brother's son, 3.5-4 years old.

I am not very close to my brothers son, but I am also not as close to my brother- we get along but just aren't in touch as much as we could.

I am really close to my sister and her son. C and my nephew love each other and we FaceTime a few times a week. It makes me so happy how much they like each other even though we live four hours apart.

With my sisters kids yes- I see them all the time and my nephew and son are best friends. They adore each other.
I wish I was closer with my other nieces and nephews but they all live far away and I hardly see them. One of my nieces just turned one and I haven't even met her yet breaks my heart!

No. We have one nephew, my SIL's son. They live in NYC and we are in the midwest. We only see him once or twice a year. He's only 2.5 too so he never really remembers us obviously.

Our daughter is the same with my SIL. I would say she is closer but not super close to my brother. She sees him more (maybe once a month or so) but she's almost always scared of him lol. He is trying though and I feel like when she's older and not scared of him he'll come around even more and want to be more involved with her.

I have 6 month old twin niece and nephew that live 2 hours away. They're still young and it's hard for both my sister and I to travel to each other (we both have twins) so I don't see them as much as I'd like to. Hopefully as all of the kids get older we are able to spend a lot more time together! I was very very close to a couple of my aunts growing up (my mom is one of 8 kids and they are all very close) so I hope to be like that for my niece and nephew!

I'm close with both my SIL's kids, half of them are school aged and the other 2 are 3 year olds. we see them every few weeks and the kids love playing together. my brother is single with no kids, but my DD adores him, she sees him almost every day.

My husband cut ties with his family years ago after a lifetime of dealing with their alcoholism, mental illness, abuse, etc. But we reached out to his brother after his first baby was born - we would have liked to play a involved, loving role in her life, especially since there's not much of that in DH's family. However, DH's brother has refused contact. Our niece is two years old (and for a while was even attending daycare in the same building where my DH works), but we still haven't met her. Breaks my heart, TBH.

Yup! I have 3 nephews and a niece and we are very close to them. We FaceTime, text, etc. they live 8 hours away and constantly want to come visit. When we go visit we never take advantage of free babysitting because we'd rather spend time with them. We've also flown them up for a week over the summer when my brothers' schedules are too packed. Hope to coordinate and budget for that this summer as well.
DH has two nieces and we're not as close because BIL is divorced and his ex has custody. They live 24hr drive away so we don't see them a ton and his ex does not like us.

We're fairly close. We all used to go out drinking together, but now there are so many babies we only see each other for holidays.
There were five babies born within two months of each other so it'll be really cool to see them grow together.

ETA... My nieces and nephews are mostly around my age - 14 of them between 26-35 plus a few outliers. I don't go out drinking with kids!

@oliviaoblivia: My DH actually cut off contact with his mother after she repeatedly refused to seek help/treatment for her severe mental health and addiction issues. My DH's brother, who is also an alcoholic, sided with their mom.

No. DH’s brother has a little girl and does not come to visit us frequently. My niece is 4 years old and been in our home 3 times. We go up there 2 -3 three times per year, but she has no interest in me.

As much as possible being a plane ride away. My brother has a daughter a year younger than my LO so she's 1.5 and I think I've seen her 4 times since she was born and we face time a lot. They were just down visiting and my neice and my daughter LOVE each other. We are all meeting up at the beach for a week this summer.

My husband's sister just had a baby last week so we haven't met him yet but I expect we'll see him a few times a year as well, and lots of face time.

I'm incredibly close to my brother's family, but they live next door to my mom so I see them FAR more often (every time I go home). They text me (the older ones from their ipads, the younger ones from their mom's phone) and ask me when I'm coming to see them constantly. When I'm there, they cry over who gets to sit next to me at dinner and pile on top of DH and I if we sit down to watch TV. And the 2 year old learned my name last time I was home.

I'm not as close with my sister's kids, but I'm also not as close with my sister. I mean, I give them gifts and they hug me hello and goodbye, but they're not as clingy and lovey as my brother's.

ETA: Oh, and DH has a niece and nephew, but they were pretty grown when we got married (his nephew is in his 20s and his niece is in high school). They pretty much only call when they want money...so...

Geographically, I am super far apart from every niece and nephew, so we aren't as close as we could be. I live in NYC area--I have nieces/nephews in Texas, California, Georgia, and suburbs of Toronto.

We are pretty close to our nices. Before we had kids we would take them out for little field trips.

I wish I was but I became an aunt so young! My oldest nephew is 24 and the youngest niece is 14. Only one lives in the same state. However I'm now an aunt to My SIL's 6 month old - only 5 months older than our LO and they live closely. I fully expect to be very involved in his life. But I do feel bad that I'm not close to the others.
