I actually try to avoid posting on post-a-thon days because my posts get totally lost in the shuffle! Plus usually I actually want responses, so I get bummed when I don't get any or very many!

I get disappointed if I don't really get my results and I'm looking for a wide variety of answers. But other times, I might just have a quick question and a couple answers will do, so then I don't mind if they really don't "take off".

The only posts of mine that tend to take off are the ones where I'm asking if my SMIL is crazy rude and everyone is telling me that I'm a nutbag and reading WAY too much into things, haha.

The only threads that go 5+ pages long are controversial topics (I think the "how would you react if your LO was gay" thread was pretty long as well as the divorce thread), TTC, and due date threads.

I still get surprised when one of mine goes past a page- I don't ever expect that.

I don't really care either way, but it feels weird to not get *any* replies.

@snowjewelz: it's so hard to tell what will get lot's of hits and what won't! (sometimes) I think it depends on the day, the time you post, etc. My most popular one recently was when I asked "how long have you been at your current job?" - I checked back and there were so many responses! I think it was just because it was so quick and easy to answer!

And eh, I'm not really disappointed. This board can move fast even on a non-PAT day, so it's really easy for threads to get lost. I dunno about everyone else, but have few topics "hidden" and just refresh the first page...I rarely go back to the second or third page (or further).

Not usually disappointed, unless it was a question regarding needing help and I really needed advice and didn't get any

Sometimes! But then I think maybe I'm the only one who's interested in the topic. Or maybe it's a time of day that's slow. Still not getting any posts stinks if I'm truly curious about something!

I didn't realize how many unanswered threads are out there. It made me want to go answer all these people! I did notice, though, that a lot of the unanswered threads are very specific questions that I'm sure just don't have as large of an audience. It would be interesting to know if there is a certain time that threads are answered the most, etc.

@Mr. Bee -- this is random, but do y'all know if y'all have a specific time of day when you get the most traffic? Would be interesting if it correlated with the threads that take off the most. I know that I'm usually on in the mornings (it's part of my AM routine), but at night I try to go electronic free.
