We were friendly and went to lunch together, etc. But! I haven't spoken to any of them since I left over 2 years ago.

Nope! Everyone is older then me, so I only talk to them at work.

Yes! I had a great group of coworkers until recently when they laid off 4 of them.

Yes! I have 4 great girlfriends that I made here. They're wonderful, but I live so far from most of them that I get sad that we can't hang out as much outside of work other than happy hours. And by then, I'd like to get home to LO...so it's tough!

I became pretty good friends with another woman I worked with. We worked together for 3ish years before she left and moved for another job. We're still friends, though. I've gone to visit and spend a weekend with her, we get together whenever she comes back to town, and she's coming to my wedding.
The rest of my coworkers are either much older than I am (like, between 30 to 50 years older than I am) or really immature guys. I get along with the older folks and we chat at work, but don't really hang out other than at the office.

Not at all. I'm a college instructor so I very rarely interact with any of the other instructors in my department, and I don't even know all of their names. I like working independently, though, so it works.

Yep, my boss and I actually really click super well together and if she weren't my boss I'm sure we'd be friends more than we are now. There are also 2 other girls who had LOs in March 2012 (like I did) so we tend to chat and comiserate about our kiddos together.

i feel very lucky that i found a few friends at my new job, because i don't know anyone in the area i moved to!

Not really. My direct co-workers report to me and everyone else is just in a different place or we have nothing in common. Also, there are few women at work. One is a gossipaholic who you can't tell anything to without her twisting it to make you look bad, the other two are older and in different places in life.

I used to be, when it was a different group there. I have been in management for the past 5-6 years, so I try to maintain good boundaries when it comes to this.

One of my coworkers has become one of my best friends. I'm not sure what I would do if one of us got moved to a different position. I also have another good friend who I used to work with. She left and I still see her regularly, but I miss having her at work!

Some, the co workers I really like, I don't work with directly so don't really get to know them or become that great of friends with.

Currently, I'd say I'm friends with about half of them. A couple of years ago, I had a coworker (co-teacher in my classroom) and her and I became really good friends. I was so sad when I had to quit because we were moving. We meet up about once every month or two and get dinner.

Yes! I've been in the same office for over 7 years and I've made some good friends. I'm glad because i feel like i spend more time at the office than at home. There's one person I've become great friends with. Now that I have LO she will come over after work just to hang out with her
