Are you getting your babysitter/nanny/daycare teacher anything for mother's day?
DD has two nannies (they split the days) and I'm not sure if I should get them a little gift or just a card.
Are you doing anything?

I get my LOs "daycare moms" flowers and cards on Mother's Day because, in my absence, they love and care for him and I want them to know how much I (as his "real mom") appreciate that.

I get Liam's nanny a card and flowers. She is like a mom to him when I'm not there, so I like to do something small and nice for her.

No; ditto to @blackbird. Plus, teacher appreciation week is next week, which I feel is more appropriate.

No way. I would feel awkward giving them something for Mother's Day. We'll get them something for teacher appreciation day.

I am a nanny and I have never expected or received anything. A few times after I have texted or emailed to wish the moms a happy mother's day they reply with a "you too, thanks for all you do" type of thing which I think is very sweet but I think that is about as much as you really need to do.

Oh man I never even thought about this for daycare!! One of our teachers is a mom, the other isn't. And while I do think of them as loving figures for my son for the day, they aren't our kids moms. Hmm, curious to see what others say.

Well not for Mother's Day but in our daycare letter, it days teacher appreciation day is May 6, so I need to do SOMETHING.
There are 12 rotation ( part time) teachers in the infant room though, so it's hard.
