Uhhhhh... this is our first year in daycare. Should we give a gift??

I would only do it if we were taking the summer off. And we're not, so, no!

Our LO is still in the infant room so there is no real school year. But we will probably give AMEX gift cards to her teachers in Infant 2 whenever she moves up to Infant 3.

Ours doesn't close in the summer...so no we don't plan on doing this. I'll probably do something during the holidays though!

We give our Montessori teachers gifts. Last year we got one woman cake bites from a fabulous local bakery and one woman who is a crafter we got very special paper and writing instruments.
This year we did a home depot gift card for one teacher and a gift card to Michaels for the other (same teachers).

When M moved rooms, I gave her primary care providers each $25 gift cards to Walmart (where I know they shop), a thank you note and a picture.

Our year -end was in May and coincided with teacher appreciation week so I gave bath and body works sets of soaps and hand sanitizers in a cute bag. They were really well received even though it was a really generic gift.

Oh! I never thought of this as LO is in daycare year round. Hmm.
