Yes, Saturday morning Cantonese classes and actually my husband is going to take them as well! I did 3 years of Saturday classes and hated it at the time but grateful now .

@lavender: you have Cantonese near you???? I would much prefer that. I kinda love that DH is as well. If we had Cantonese I would enroll DH.

Hopefully any future LO will already be bilingual (English/Spanish) but I would LOVE to enroll them in an additional class since they pick languages up so easily when they are little!

@locavore_mama: yep, there are a couple near me, but they are getting harder to find. Helps that Boston's Chinese speaking population is still (well majority) Cantonese speaking. And I think DH is tired of asking for translations from me... especially jokes, ya know how they say "lost in translation"? Happens to him all he time

We took my DD to her first Saturday Mandarin class a few weekends ago and she had an epic meltdown.. and I had an epic blow up. Not my finest moment. We decided to quit and try again next year. Classic case of me trying to force her into doing something I want to do, not what SHE wants to do. Lesson learned. (Note: every child is different).

DS gets enough of a 3rd language at school already, so I don't think we need anything else for now.

Yep! My kids are bilingual, but it'll be nice for them to learn how to read/spell from someone else.

@chopsuey: yup, that's the biggest thing for me. I can teach them to speak it but not read or write.
@T-Mom: oh no, were you able to get a refund??

Our girls will probably go to Filipino dance/Tagalog class, since our younger daughter is Filipina.
