Olive got a lollipop last year, and Charlie ate way too much candy! How can you stop a kid from eating candy when they trick or treat?!
This year I told him I would give him a transformer if he gave me all of his candy, and he agreed.
Are you going to let your LO eat Halloween candy this year? How old are they?

DS is 22 mos, and is our oldest. Luckily he still doesn't know what candy is so Daddy and I will reap all the benefits of his trick or treating at the children's museum 
He thinks bananas are the best treat ever so we'll keep it that way as long as we can!

Yup she will be 14 months and we will let her have a few bites, then mommy and daddy will polish off the rest

Chloe will be 2 & we will let her have a few pieces.
The rest will be sent to work with my husband. If it's here I'll eat it!

Emma will only be a hair past 1 year old on Halloween so no, no candy for her. I'm a mean mommy though

my son can have a few pieces since he's 3 1/2. my daughter is 14 months so none for her yet! I'll give her a fruit bar or something.

She will be almost 13 months and we won't give her any due to cross-contamination issues with candy companies. (no nuts allowed for our LO)
edit: I'll take some special "treats" for her so she's not left out..

haha I love the exchange candy for a toy idea! J is only 19 months so he won't get any. I might not be opposed to letting him have 1-2 pieces but we don't go trick or treating...

We have someone go ahead to each house and give them raisins, nuts and dried fruit to give to our kids. Crazy, I know... but it works!

My kids are 5 and 2 and I plan to allow them to have a piece of candy (maybe 2 for the 5 yr old) each as long as I check it first for peanuts. After that we will probably save some for special treats and then eat the rest ourselves muhahaha.. J/k I will probably take it to work

She'll be 18 months. She's had ice cream before but not candy. I'm sure ill let her have a few m&ms or something but I'm pregnant so I want all the candy for myself!

Yup, mommy and daddy will help but she'll get to eat it too, she's 2. It'll probably last for awhile since we'll just do a piece a day but since mommy and daddy also will probably do a piece a day maybe it won't last that long. #2s due date is Halloween so she'll only be getting residual candy through momma's breast milk if she's around.

E will be 16 months and I would let her have one small piece, but she hates anything chocolate so I doubt she will have any. I'm thinking about putting a couple of her gummi vitamins in a little Halloween mini box and letting her have that "candy"!

DS is 6, and actually doesn't have much of a sweet tooth, so he's good at rationing. DH and I end up eating more of his candy than he does, lol. I'll put it in his lunch, give him a piece after dinner, etc.
My mom would just let us have our candy. That way, if we eat it all at once, at least it would be gone soon, lol. I was better at rationing than my brothers were.

LO is allergic to milk, eggs, and peanuts, which rules out a lot of yummy candy. Last year at 18 months he didn't know that people were putting candy in his pumpkin. This year at 2.5 years old I'm pretty sure he knows the difference. I'll give him a Trader Joe's lollipop as his reward.

I will let her have a piece or two that night and then maybe save a few pieces for special occasions after that.

I only have a two month old baby, so obviously not, but growing up my cousins were diabetic, so after trick-or-treating, we'd make a trek to the hospital to hand it out to whatever kids or patients were allowed to have random visitors and candy. No idea if that would even fly today... but we thought it was great.

My LO will only be right around 11 months and even now, we still don't have teeth, so basically no candy for her! My mom let her have a ring pop and a dum dum sucker before (which she loved, obviously) so I'm not saying I'd rule that out for fun on her first Halloween...But we're going to go trick or treating mainly to show off her cuteness in our new neighborhood:) She is going to be the PBK owl:)

Last year LO was 14 months and he was just so excited to be out I don't think he had anything. When we came home it was straight to bath and bed and by the next morning the candy had "disappeared". This year it might be more complicated but I think he'll probably be satisfied with a lollipop. We'll see!

I'm seriously debating taking my LO trick or treating just so I can eat her candy.
She'll be two months old. Is that considered using my child? Haha.

We probably won't trick or treat, but if we did, I'd let her have a piece or so a day for a little while.

I'll probably let her try a piece or two, but we still pretty much stay away from sweets -- DD is 18 months. We probably won't trick or treat w/ her this year since we'll have just moved to a new city and won't know anyone in the area.

No. They don't really celebrate Halloween here. For instance, I've never seen trick-or-treaters. She's gonna be in costume and sit beside the pumpkins - that's about all she's getting. She'll be 16 months.

DS is 4.5 so yes but not much. I'll probably let DD have a taste of a lollipop (she'll be 17 months).
