I have multiple problems with voting tomorrow. Not only do I find that none of the candidates are suitable for running the country but I would have to walk a mile to vote with two toddlers whining about being out for a walk and certainly trying to cause chaos at the polls. SO works out of town all week and I have no family around to watch the kids. With all those factors I find it easier to say no to voting. I feel obligated to vote, yes, but my children come first and they are just not comfortable around most other people.

@littleblessings: I agree that my children come first - my children are a big reason I'm voting. I hope you find a way. I've heard lots of YMCAs are having childcare for people while they vote.

As an immigrant, I can't, but I am pushing DH and everyone else I know to (actually, DH has already)

Absolutely! No early voting in CT, unfortunately, so up early tomorrow for it.

Uhh yeah dude. I find it morally irresponsible not to. Local elections and ballot initiatives are important too!

Just got back from voting in Virginia! We got to our polling location a little before 6:00am, when the polls opened, and there was decent line already. When I left it was at least twice as long.

I will go tonight. My husband, who can not vote, has told me that he is going to come too. I am not sure if it's because he's worried about my physical well being or he just wants to see the spectacle.

We have a ton of important local elections happening, my state is in a very bad place right now and we need to get the current bad apples out of state government.

Yup. My kindergartener must have heard about the election from other kids. So this morning she asked DH and I who we were voting for and we said Hilary Clinton, and she's like oh yeah I've heard of her. I haven't explained to her yet that we've never had a female president, it is just nice that it doesn't occur to her that there would be an artificial limitation.

Just voted! It went very smoothly, turnout looks decent and no one was trying to harass the voters. Yay!

@Maysprout: ha, "I've heard of her" -- so cute! It's crazy because I remember we did a vote in my kindergarten class, and I voted for Bill Clinton. And now as an adult, I got to actually vote for Hillary.

@Maysprout: My sister is a kindergarten teacher and her school did a mock election last week. She heard some interesting comments like "I'm voting for Trump because he's going to send all the brown people back where they belong"

@MrsSCB: Haha I always heard stories of my mom getting me to talk about Bill Clinton during the 1992 election (I was 3) and now my son is turning 3 next week.

I really hope my kindergarten kiddo votes today. We talked about the candidates in the only terms I could find appropriate for her. And we certainly talked about how HRC could be our first girl president. And Trump could be making a career change. She wants to vote for George Washington 😜

I'm going after work. I expect long lines so I packed a sandwich and fully charged my Kindle for the wait. I'll wait as long as it takes!

I went before work this morning. No lines in our small town, luckily.

If you are on the fence about voting and lean Dem at all, PLEASE go vote. It is a really close race for getting back the senate, and even if you don't love Hillary as the presidential candidate your vote really counts in the other races.

Just voted! I was afraid lines were going to be long and it would be raining, so I'd be stuck outside waiting with a newborn. Especially since my polling place was a standin for 4 other polling places that flooded this year and had to be moved.

But luckily it wasn't like that at all! There was 1 person in front of me for me precinct and it took maybe 5 minutes. Yeah!

Took me an hour to stand in line and vote this AM. Totally worth it! I am feeling slightly relieved now that I have done my part.

@MrsSCB: I remember voting for Bill Clinton in our 3rd grade election. And in 7th grade I was so excited to see a female running, 3rd party granted, I voted for her in our mock election. Today it looks like I was able to combine Them both.
