I think both! I have a almost 4 year old and 17 month old. I have learned a lot but there is still a lot to learn and need advice / support for.

I'm here to lurk, predominately.

Other than that - I try to help where I can, but I am acutely aware that I'm an expert on my child (not children in general).

HelloBee gives to me in helping me speed up days when I am unmotivated to work!

I get so much support here and I'm really very grateful. I try to give back but I find its more in the support and encouragement category than advice. Despite having raised my child to the ripe old age of 2.5, I don't feel as though I've actually solved any of our challenges, E simply grew out of them! I feel like a total newbie still!

I'm a follower more than a leader so most of the time I receive advice. There are some things I feel better giving advice about like IF. Also, I don't feel my parenting style and ideas are for everyone so I try not to push it onto others. So most of the time, my responses are telling others what I do and not necessarily think this is how you should do it. One thing I have learned from this site is everyone and every child is different.

I joined because I had my first LO, and absolutely had no idea what I was doing, and having SUCH a rough time with sleep, etc. I don't even remember how I came across this site. I received a lot advice, encouragement, etc. It was really a great resource for me in my hours of need.

I try to pay it forward and contribute as much as possible. I intentionally come onto the site to try to respond to posts because I think I've taken, and will probably take again, so I want to give when I can, you know?

But, I don't have that much experience, so my inputs are still not that much. We've got some awesome people here who know everything!
