I'm not really that hungry during pregnancy but I was absolutely starving when I was breastfeeding!

I actually had no appetite when I was pregnant. Now I'm all "FEED ME SEYMOUR!" It's ridiculous.

Way more hungry now and I have to eat a lot to keep my supply up.

Way more hungry. I had to force myself to eat while pregnant, now I am constantly starving. We go out to eat a couple times a week and my husband is always amazed at how much food I order.
It has gotten way worse now that Cam is eating more. I thought I ate a lot right after he was born, now I feel like I am always eating- otherwise I feel sick and headachey.

I thought I would be because I had heard that nursing mothers have voracious appetites, but I'm by far LESS hungry than I was when I was pregnant.

Yes hungry but when I was pregnant, it was more demanding when I was hungry. I needed to be fed at that very instant or else I'd be a grouch.

Way more hungry. I eat more than DH now.
The other day we had bbqed hamburgers and salad for dinner and I wanted ANOTHER hamburger. How embarrassing.

So much hungrier now than when pregnant. Must keep snacks on nightstand or I won't make it through the night.

Surprisingly, I was never hungry when I was pregnant, and now, I can say the same, although since he's out of my belly, I almost feel like I have some sort of excuse to eat whatever I want, though of course I don't, I just tend to eat out of plain cravings, not cuz I NEED to eat!

Waaaay hungrier now... I feel like I'm constantly snacking all day! I need to start picking healthier options though... I've gained 5 pounds in the past two months

So much hungier while breastfeeding. I only ate small meals while pregnant because I felt like my stomach was squished by baby and couldn't fit any food in there and I had so many food aversions, nothing tasted good. The first 3 weeks pp, I ate like 4 protein bars a day + 3 regular meals, yikes.

I am a beast now! I thought I ate a lot when I was preggo but now at 7 months pp and BFing, I probably rival DH in amount of food consumed. Before DD, during dinner I'd have maybe 1/3-1/2 small bowl of rice with dinner. Tonight I had the equivalent of 2+ bowls of rice with my meat and veggies (!!!). That's insane! I'm famished most of the day but I guess it makes sense as DD's caloric intake increases.
For mommas that have weaned - did you appetite drop quickly after you stopped BF or did you have to consciously stop eating as much? I'm afraid I will still be eating this way after I wean without knowing and that would be no bueno.

So much hungrier breastfeeding! I feel like I can't ever get enough food....and then I wonder why the baby weight isn't falling off yet! I just find myself constantly starving now - during pregnancy I felt like I had the munchies all the time, but now I seriously feel as though I can't get enough food.

I'm about the same as i was pregnant. I am trying to eat healthier though. When I was pregnant, all I wanted to eat was junk. I couldn't stand the look of salads. Now I crave the healthy stuff!

Yes, I eat for two still even while nursing and then some! My husband complains to me that I never offer or share my food with him when we go out. How can I?
