I'm very good at subjects like English (writing), learning languages, stuff like that. My husband is very good with numbers and can do crazy mental math and things like that.
What about you?

I'm very language-y - I love writing and I'm an avid reader, and my husband is DEFINITELY math/science-y...he went to school for accounting and now he teaches math!

Definitely English (although I loved all of my science classes, except for Physics, which was too much math). DH is definitely a Math guy (and History).

I'm Englishy, DH is mathy. When people start talking about math (especially financial type math) my eyes glaze over.

Math science for sure. I'm a geeky computer scientist.
Hubby is also math science and a computer scientist.
cantaloupe / 6885 posts
Definitely english/languagey. DH is totally mathy - he's an engineer and the fact that he actually still uses calculus blows my mind. I forgot every bit of that course once I finished it!!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
I would say I'm more English/Language and Hubs is Math/Science.
And we're BOTH Computer Scientists.

@Rubies: we're same as you! I always make DH calculate stuff for me. Mostly cause I'm math lazy.

I'm all about science, but not so much math. I love English, and while I appreciate languages I am not at all talented there.

math & science. i feel like i have the vocabulary of a 13 year old.

Science yes. Math yes, except not in my head. Kind of hard to do advanced math in your head lol. DH is in finance so he's great with numbers, but definitely not into science. He's also good with grammar and arts.

I'm Englishey-languagey and he is Sciency. I'm a writer, he's an engineer. Can't get more clear-cut than that!

I'm really good at English. It comes easily to me.
But if I work really hard at science, I do well. I mean REALLY HARD. For my summer chem class, I put in SIX hours a day for homework. I got an A (barely haha).
I hate math.

English-languagey for sure. I majored in Education with concentrations in English and History. Dan is the same... he actually majored in English & hopes to be a writer/editor one day!
watermelon / 14206 posts
Both...I'm really good at math but I find it too tedious. I'm more a creative type, even though I have the math skills.
I'm really good at languages.
honeydew / 7444 posts
@Rubies: Are you sure you're Englishy? hahaha i kid!
I'm probably stronger in English/languages than math/sciences but DH is strong in both. No fair!
wonderful olive / 19353 posts
I'm good with learning languages and enjoy learning math and science so both?
persimmon / 1328 posts
Definitely science-y, not so mathy, and even less so English-y. I have to write a lot, but I really don't enjoy it.
watermelon / 14467 posts
I'm definitely Languagey. I'm okay with math, but I don't love it. I'd like to be a meteorologist, but the calculus kills me. I have no patience for it. My husband is mathy-sciencey, which serves him well as a biologist.

I'm languagey. My brain thinks fairly abstractly, so I've always been better that english/art/music/drama. The logic involved in math and science escapes me sometimes, although I find biology fascinating.

I have a masters degree in accounting and do "math" all day at work and still feel like I'm better at English! I scored higher on the verbal portion of the SATs than the math portion. Sometimes I'm not sure why I went into the field that I did! .
I'm definitely NOT science-y at all, I think the last science class I took was some intro to bio class in the first semester of college! DH is very science-y.
blogger / watermelon / 14218 posts
I am equally both! I scored exactly the same on the SAT math vs. SAT verbal sections.
Wagon Sr. is everything BUT math. He's science-y but not math-y. He's the only asian guy I know who scored lower on math than verbal!

English/Science?
I always excelled in English and Chemistry.... was TERRIBLE in math and/Social Studies...
honeydew / 7091 posts
Math/Science - DH too. We won't know what to do with ourselves if DD doesn't like math!
