I think I'm sort of musically inclined. Played classical piano for 10 years, played the alto sax for 3 years, and I sing decent but not good enough to make my own album. I do plan on having my kids play the piano b/c of its brain development benefits. Because once they know how to play the piano they can pretty much learn how to play any instrument.

DD always "sings" along to music on the radio when we're in the car!

I hope so! I played violin for 12 years and took voice lessons for 10 years through college. But it's been 10 years and my voice is now rusty and untrained again... don't even ask about the violin, I can barely squawk out Twinkle Twinkle, haha.

DH has no musical inclination at all!

I loved music growing up, I've played piano, violin, guitar, and clarinet. I loved piano the most and did it the longest. I still play occassonally but I don't have a piano

I would love DS to pick up music!! It's so fun, therapeutic and rejuvenating. I do plan to start him on piano lessons by 4... maybe 5.

Dh and I were both in band. I only went through high school, dh through college. I hope lo joins too.

I ended up switching over to visual arts..... so there's a good chance my po will be active in some sort of arts!

Yup, played violin for years and years and taught violin too for a bit (private lessons). I can also hammer out some tunes on piano and cello.

We're going to buy a piano when we moved from our condo to a bigger house, and start LO on piano lessons when she's a few years old. I think piano is a great starting (or forever) instrument for her; will get her to read music in multiple clefs, and will be fun!

My dad and brother as super musically inclined. Too bad i"m totally not! haha. Anyway, I hope my son or daughter pick up their music skillzzzzzz.

I'm not, but my brother is gifted, I'm hoping some of those genes are in me and it rubs off on our kids?

I played piano from 4th through 9th grade and viola from 6th through 12th -- I was All-State three years in a row and went to summer camp orchestra and was in All-City and city youth orchestras so I hope LO picks something up! DH was into drumming, he was really good when he was in high school.

I played piano for a long, long time like a good little Asian and DH loves music and plays all kinds of guitars. I also played various other instruments throughout my high school years, like flute, trumpet and clarinet. I really hope when we have a baby we can pass some of that down!
