YES! I absolutely loved that site. I didn't find it until about 2 weeks after M was born but it was a lifesaver then. You're so sleep deprived, the only way to keep track of things is on some sort of spreadsheet.

I was when DD was just born but it got to be way too crazy for me to log every thing, especially once she developed a bit of a routine.

Obsessed! Nvr pay for apps and this one was worth every penny. Log everything!!!
persimmon / 1408 posts
Agree with @mrsjyw - I never pay for apps and I love this one!!! I use it allllllllllll the time. I recommend it to all my friends with babies!

I like it but I don't use it everyday, just a few times a week. Sometimes I forget to log the info so I just skip it for that day.

I started using it bc I kept forgetting how long he'd been up but don't use it strictly. More for rough estimates of diapers nursing amd sleep.

My DH and I are addicted. Sometimes it feels wrong to constantly hold my iPhone while taking care of LO. For instance, the baby is crying and I'm like, hold on, baby, I have to start the Nursing Timer.

I've never heard of it but will look into downloading it when the time comes... Why do you all love it so much?
kiwi / 706 posts
In the early days, when LO was losing too much weight and I had to start supplementing, it was really useful to track down how long it took her to nurse, how many ounces she was drinking, and how many diapers she went through. It's also useful to keep track of her sleeping hours, as newborns shouldn't be up more than 2 hours. I can always look back and see when she woke up and needs to be put down for a nap.
Now that LO is 4 months old, I still use it to keep track of everything. Logging the milestones and measurements is especially cool.

@marley: Lol, my MIL screamed at me once when I was logging a wet diaper! "Wet is wet! Why do you need to post it on the Facebook?"
bananas / 9357 posts
@marley: lol! I do the same thing. Baby wakes up and is crying and I'm like, "hold on baby, I have to stop your sleep timer!"
I'm addicted to the app. Now I only track nursing and sleep.

@autumnlove: haha! I haven't posted anything on facebook yet, but one time when there was a 30 pound poopy diaper I was sooooo attempted!
kiwi / 706 posts
@mrskc: me too! Also, don't you hate it when they wake up, you stop the timer, and then they go back to sleep? I'm always like, ugh, you ruined the timer! Oh, the things that amuse us now...
hostess / wonderful watermelon / 39513 posts
@marley: Oh, I would never post any Baby Connect stuff on FB but she calls everything related to technology the Facebook! Lol.
You can pause the sleep timer!
kiwi / 706 posts
@autumnlove: right, it's just that I never know when she's REALLY getting up, or just going in between sleep cycles.

Looking into this now! I think you ladies need to fill us FTMs in with what this magical app/site is?!

Love it! Especially since it syncs with my husband's phone. When LO was super little and napped all the time (and had a super early bedtime) he could see when she was napping or getting up so he could head out of the office and see her before she went to bed.

@Mrs. Lovejoy: Mrs. Yo-Yo had a post about it!

I was OBSESSED in the beginning but I haven't used it for a few months, ever since I went back to work. It seemed pointless using it for only the weekends, since my mom watches my LO during the weekday. But man...that thing is awesome during the newborn phase. Loved it!

@banana: my DH works from home and takes care of baby. It's fun to log onto the app at work and know exactly what the baby's doing! And then when I get home, I'll know what needs to be done and what she needs.

@marley: That sounds awesome! My mom writes everything down because she can't use technology to save her life. I would've loved it if my mom used the app!

love this app. i track nursing the most diligently, bottle feeds, pumping and i just started tracking sleep. i have the android version though and i feel like it doesn't have as many ways of viewing the data as the iphone version...
bananas / 9357 posts
@marley: haha yeah! Or the opposite happens to me. He falls asleep and wakes up 2 minutes later.
GOLD / wonderful coffee bean / 18478 posts
@autumnlove: haha, you posted on FB?
@sandy: yes, DH loves to look at the stats at work to see what we've been up to!
@Mrs. Lovejoy: so much better than the piece of paper I used 2.5 years ago with my first child!

So addicted. I've been using it every day since the baby was 5 days old, and now he's 11 months. I love looking at the graphs and seeing long term trends. I'm a scientist but I don't do research anymore so my husband says that with all of the data I am collecting the baby is my new science project.

@truffleb: the graphs are beyond dorky but I love them! so useful!
