I think the fact that I live in DC and willingly worked for the government (in politics) proves my patriotism :). As I get older and I'm more aware, I'm truly thankful to live in the US, problems and all.

Yes. In college I kind of thought it wasn't cool to be patriotic, but I truly feel like I won the lottery to be born a woman in the US. I live the American dream, from extremely modest beginnings to a wonderful comfortable life. I owe much of that to the amazing student loan and pell grant program that supported me through college, grad school, medical school, and fellowship!

Absolutely. America certainly has its problem... But I feel extremely fortunate to have been born and raised here. And I feel a strong sense of pride in our military... I'm so very thankful to them for protecting the things that make this country such a wonderful place to live.
