I am not!
I think I look ok and then DH snaps a pic of me and the kids and I am like "ugh"

Not particularly...you have to get me at exactly the right angle.

I'm pretty good if I know it's coming, but if I'm not looking it's pretty bad

I'm told that I am but every time I see a photo of me I criticism something, like a face I'm making or the angle of the photo.
grapefruit / 4089 posts
Absolutely not. I can't stand having my picture taken because I don't know how to smile in pictures and I never like how they turn out. Boo!

@Smurfette: What are you talking about??? You look so pretty in all the pictures I've seen!
I'm only photogenic when I REALLY try to be, haha. Otherwise I'm blotchy with serious double-chin and muffin-top going on! NOT pretty!

I don't think so. I'm not a fan of pictures of me unless they're taken (and edited haha) by a professional.

I am no professional model, but I look good in like three posed photos that we have, lol.

Nope! I have "sleepy" eyes. My photographers told me this when they were taking my boudoir pictures. they kept telling me to "smile with my eyes". I thought I was, but when they showed me a picture, I understood what they saw/were saying. No matter how hard I try to smile with my eyes, I just couldn't!! Don't know why!!!

I can be photogenic if I try really hard and do some photoshop editing
When I smile big, one of my eyes gets all squinty and it looks like I'm trying to wink So last time I had photos taken, I tried to make sure I kept both eyes open and ended up looking like a scary stepford wife

No. I can take good pictures sometimes but I really have to work at it.
pomegranate / 3577 posts
Noooooope! They'd have to be a really lucky shot for me to be happy with the picture.

i look pretty amazing in pictures.
just kidding. it's a total crapshoot, so i do not consider myself photogenic.
honeydew / 7917 posts
Not at all, but DH always has a camera pointed at me (ahem.. he has a never ending camera obsession). I have learned to smile just so that I don't look like a monster.

No! I manage to grow a few extra chins every time someone snaps a photo of me. I swear that they're not there normally!

sometimes i look great, sometimes i look horrible.
just like irl.
persimmon / 1420 posts
I feel ridiculous saying this, but yes, I think I am. I can fake a smile like nobody's business, so it helps in my pictures. If I don't know that I'm having my picture taken, then they turn out horribly, but if I have about half a second notice, I can turn it on like Barney Stinson.
pineapple / 12793 posts
I look a lot better in photos then I do IRL.
@meganmp: I'm the same way, I hear a camera shutter and game on! My dad was an obsessive photographer when I was growing up and I grew up to be a ham.

@Mrs. J:
you are too good to my ego. you should see me now!
honeydew / 7444 posts
I have some bad angles. If you catch me in a laugh i do not look good!!
But other than that, i look all right.
hostess / papaya / 10540 posts
Not at all. Even when I think I look good, I look at the photos and nope I don't.
blogger / wonderful cherry / 21616 posts
I think I look better in pictures than IRL as well. I am told I'm photogenic. But I hate my badge picture at work!
pear / 1812 posts
@meganmp: haha that just reminded me of the episode where they're trying to get a bad pic of Barney.
