We are packing up to move and I have a big bag of old bottles we used for DD. I'm thinking I'll keep the bottles and toss the nipples. If you have 2 or more kids, did you re-use the bottles? What about the nipples?

Don't have #2 yet, but I plan to reuse the bottles and just get new nipples (assuming #2 cooperates and takes to the bottles)!

@Adira - yeah, that's the thing....it was such a struggle to get DD to take a bottle. I bought so many different kinds, so I have a huge bag of them!

We just use them at daycare, but they all look a little gross - too much milk/hardwater deposits. I'll probably just get new ones.

@BeachMama: See, I was lucky - Xander took to the first bottle I gave him, so I just have a bunch of that one kind! If baby #2 doesn't take to them, I'll have to buy all new bottles! But I have no advice on what you should do with the millions of different types of bottles you have since you have no idea what kind #2 will end up liking! Maybe keep the ones your DD ended up using??

@Adira- Hopefully LO #2 won't be picky and will take all kinds of bottles!

Was planning on it, but couldn't find a part for the dr. Browns bottle and then found them cheaper as a set then buying individual!

I just packed away a bunch of bottles, pumping equip, etc from DS. I will def be reusing most bottles, as DS didn't use a ton of them.

I did. I bought new level 1 nipples out of an abundance of caution, but by the time #2 needed level 2 and 3 nipples, I just reused the old nipples!

Yes, but I also had to buy more of DD2's favorites!

No - we used them quite a bit and I think b/c we would wash them on "sanitize" in our dishwasher - it turned them kind of orange-y. I still have the old ones (I feel bad tossing them but who would buy/want them all discolored?). but recently purchased new ones. It's one of the few things we bought for baby #2.

I was planning on reusing when I first started but by the time DD stopped taking bottles, I felt they were too worn. We had the Tommee Tippee bottles that my mom sterilized after every days use up until DD was a year old.

yeah, we're going to reuse them and probably just buy new nipples!
