I find myself saying "fingers crossed" on here a lot. And DH and I both "knock on wood."
Also, I LOVE looking for (and finding!) 4-leaf clovers!
Do you have any pet superstitions or good luck tokens/totems/whatever?

Nope.
Sometimes I will do exactly what you're not supposed to do just to stress out superstitious people.

Not superstitious, just a little stitious
Not really, but I let myself believe in the fun ones like finding a quarter on the ground means you'll have a good day- power of suggestion must be worth something, right?

@FliegepilzHut: I say those things too but it's more a figure of speech than an actual belief

@Anya: Yeah...but I think somehow it still makes me feel better? I think it's just another way of saying "here's hoping" and letting it go...because really, sadly, we only have so much control in this life.
ETA: Hooray for the power of suggestion (and optimism)!

@.twist.: That's pretty wild! Any specific one (like walking under ladders)?

@FliegepilzHut: I do those too!
My MIL thinks that if a lot of people see the kids, they'll give them the evil eye because they're so cute and they're jealous. The way you remove the evil eye is by moving a handful of salt around their heads three times before throwing it out. I may or may not ask her to do this for them sometimes!

@Mrs. Tiger: I can totally see doing that! But I would probably make sure I throw it over my left shoulder...cuz, yeah, apparently I'm weird like that.

@FliegepilzHut: When I competed when I was younger I was superstitious about all my pre competition prep, etc.
During our IVF cycle I wore my lucky socks for every ultrasound, as well as retrieval and transfer. Oh and also for each my betas and ultrasounds so far this pregnancy!

@mrswin: Ooh...I do love lucky socks! DH and I also both like little pocket "good luck" charms-- a marble, rock, or special coin.

I'm not really superstitious in that I don't actually believe any of it, but I do say "fingers crossed" and "knock on wood" all the time!

@pui: I don't *really* believe in it either...but some of these quirks do help me to relax and go with the flow at times!

I kiss my hand and touch the car ceiling when I go through a yellow light. No idea where that came from, but now I feel like if I don't do it I'll get t-boned in the intersection or something.
