I'm 5'4" and never was called short or anything like that. However, I'm asking because my 2-year old daughter is measuring at the 3rd percentile for height (she's only 80cm tall - 31.4 inches)...And apparently whatever height they are at 2-years, if you double it it will give you their adult height (anyone heard of this?).
That gives DD an adult height of 5'2" at best.

I think the doubling thing is BS.
DD was 36 inches at 2.. I don't think she'll be 6' tall!

I'm 5'2", and was about 5' all the way through HS. I was teased very rarely, but really, it wasn't too big a deal. Being the shortest in the class usually meant I got to be in the front row for things, which was never too bad 
When I started dating, I loved being short! All the guys were taller than me!

I'm 5'2". I've been called short, but never in a mean way. It was usually by boys teasing me.
My aunt told me her daughter's pediatrician predicted her height when she was a toddler. He told her she would be 5' even at most and she is 5'1".

I'm 5 feet even and was never teased or felt bad about being short growing up. If you're short you can always wear tall shoes and no guy was ruled out for being on the short side. I do wish I was taller though but I think it has more to do with the way my body is proportioned...I have a super long torso and super short legs so even petite pants are too long for me

Yep, I'm 5'0" and I've always been short. My entire family are shorties (my mom is 5'2" and her mom is 4'9"). In high school, my nickname was "little bit." I actually like being short, most of the time I was never really teased, though. Everyone in school just tried to pick me up and carry me around haha
DH is a kinda short for a guy (5'8" ish). Our LO isn't here yet but at today's ultrasound (25 weeks), he's measuring like 2 weeks ahead and he's already over 2 pounds. This makes me laugh because the doctors think he's going be a giant haha

I was never teased.....I didn't mind being short. It meant all the boys I dated were taller. My MIL used to complain (in a loving way) that me and my SIL (also a shortie 5"3) always got the tall guys (DH 6"3, BIL 6"3). MIL is a tall lady. I think LO will be tall....She has long legs! Maybe she will play volleyball.

I'm 5'1", and I don't remember being teased about it. I think my brother and his friends would call me stuff like "shorty", but it was always in a loving way. I was a gymnast for a little while, and my height came in handy then! Maybe you should get her into gymnastics

haha never heard the double thing but I don't buy it either... mostly because I was a crazy tall kid but stopped growing a lot earlier than other girls because I just grew so fast. By 5th grade I had reached my final height. *I* got teased for being so tall. It goes both ways!

I'm 5' tall and my brother never let's me forget it. He'll ask me how the weather is down here, or if something drops he'll tell me to get it because I'm closer to the ground. My NN growing up was "shrimp"... I'm 29 & my uncle still calls me that.
I've heard about the height doubling thing, but was told it was at age 3, not 2. I was 36" at age 3, giving me a height of 6' tall. Yeah right!
Chloe is 21 months and 33" already. I hope she takes after her papa who is much, much taller than me!

I'm really short (4' 10.5") I was always called "shorty" or "half-pint" or "little bit" like a pp! I was never really teased though. I enjoyed it, and for the most part still do (I can fit into kids clothes, HA!) My husband is pretty short for a guy too, he's about 5' 3" our kids don't have a chance at being tall. My son however is starting to take after his Dad, who is about 6' 2".

I was pretty short until halfway through high school, then I shot up to 5'4". Now I'm around 5'5". My husband is short for a guy (5'6"), so who knows how our daughter will turn out.

I don't know what I was at 2, but after 6th grade I stopped growing at 5' 2". The only people who tease me are my taller family members. I usually wear heels or wedges and people don't realize how short I am.

Before I hit my growth spurt around 9th grade, I was teased for being small. But then I was an Asian girl so I probably didn't have it that bad since most Asian girls were small.
Once I was 5'2", no one ever really called me short again. And in fact people always think I'm way taller than 5 foot 2. So 5'2" ain't that bad.

I'm 5'2. I was teased a little for my height but not too bad. It didn't bother me.
I'm asian so it kinda came with the territory. I was teased for asian stereotypes more than anything.
I'm actually surprised how 'tall' I am compared to my parents.

I'm barely 5', if that. All the women on my mom's side are within an inch or two of 5', so we always joke that when it's just us in photos, we look normal. It's only when other people join that we look short! Funnily enough, the guys on that side of the family are over 5'8", so the short is just a girl thing.
As for teasing/comments, I was never teased by my peers for being small, but I did get comments from my classmates' parents. It made it so that my height never bothered me unless I was around a friend's parent, which looking back is pretty messed up.

Hated it growing up but since college LOVE IT!

I'm 5'0" and it's never been an issue for me. I've gotten the occasional comment but never anything bad. Mostly just that I have a big personality or that I walk fast for having such short legs.
I'll have to ask my folks is the doubling thing worked for us, I know they calculated it.

Even now as an adult I have been mistaken for being younger. True story: as a 20-something (albeit wearing a helmet and goggles), I was mistaken for a 5th grader. Cue palm to face.

The good thing about being short is you can wear however high of a heel as you want without worrying about being too tall than a guy you are dating/married to..

i'm a hair under 5'2". whenever i go to the physician and they take my height, they put me down as 5'2" but i'm technically 5'1 and 3/4".
surprisingly, i've hardly been referred to as "short" though - if anything, "tiny" - but i think this is due to my frame which is very skinny & fine-boned with long limbs. because of this, i have a tendency to look taller. people are usually surprised when i tell them my height.

I'm 5'1" and I've gotten teased about it a little in my older years, but I was the tallest in my class during the years I would assume you'd get teased the most (elementary) I went through the "change" very early on, haha.
I'm Japanese so I don't think it surprises people that I'm short. I think boys/men tend to get the worst of it with teasing about height.
