I think I'm his type personality-wise, but looks...no. I'm not sure he ever dated a white american seriously before me. He'd dated a whole lot of south asian and east asian girls--most of them very petite!

I'm 5'7, blonde, and...not petite.

Also, I'm medium-maintenance but the girl he dated before me was SUPER high maintenance, so it made me look so good in comparison. Thanks, random girl!

I'm soooooo not my SO's type. His type is the petite, 5'1" and under, dark hair (short), italian/jewish "like" spitfire,and a strong nose (like his ex girlfriend).

I'm 5'7", asian, practically no nose, hair is long, and supremely low maintenance.

No. He likes olive skinned, dark haired, athletic types. I'm super pale, light haired, and curvy. Personality-wise I am his type though!

Yes, he's always said he goes for dark hair/brown eyes. His celeb crushes are Natalie Portman and Kiera Knightley

I don't think he really had a type, except that he dated 4(!!) Jennifer's that were all super tiny and blonde. I'm not any one of those things, lol.

In terms of looks, I think so. DH and I are very similar looking... and I think there is a biological instinct to be attracted to people who look like you.

Personality wise, I am not sure. DH and I have been together since we were 23 and just out of college. I have never met any of his exes. Since we have totally grown up together, I think we have grown into our compatibility.

Nope! He is used to dating petite women, which I am not. I am also a lot more independent and strong willed.

I always joke to the DH that he has an Asian fetish but then he points out that I'm the first Asian he has dated.

As for type, I'm not sure he has a type. I'm definitely not high maintenance, not needy and I'm on the quiet and reserved side like him.

Yep! He's always had a thing for redheads, although I'm the only person with red hair that he dated. He likes athletic body types so I'm even more his type now after putting on some muscle.

I don't think he has a type. But neither of us certainly thought we would end up with each other and be so compatible. Never in my WILDEST dreams would I thought the love of my life is a Caucasian German Irish!

We were so extreme opposites when we just met but are so compatible right now! It's kinda eerie!
