I went from a 7 to a 7.5. Since Olive is 3 1/2, it's pretty much official that my feet are bigger.
Did yours grow permanently?

No, I was lucky that my foot never got larger. My feet were swollen at the end of my pregnancy, but they would go back to normal at the beginning of each day.

Yes - about 1/2 size with each pregnancy. I lost probably about 50 pairs of shoes because they no longer fit. I only buy the minimum for now until I'm positive I'm done having kids!

Yep about 1/2 size. Pre-pregnancy I was always between a 7.5 or 8 depending on the shoe. I am permanently an 8!

One foot is...not quite half a size, but enough that one shoe always feels a little bit snugger than the other.
pear / 1503 posts
No. I just tried on some heels for an event next week, and they all seem to fit. Whew! I never noticed any swelling I my feet during pregnancy.
persimmon / 1188 posts
No! I couldn't even wear shoes at the end of my pregnancy and immediately after my son was born. I wore my moccasin/slippers everywhere. I was afraid I'd lose my cute shoe collection forever but I am back to normal size!

YES, went from 7.5 to 8 or 8.5. Hoping they don't grow again during this pregnancy. Buying new shoes, while fun, is pricey.

Not as a result of pregnancy, but when I was in college I was a size 7, now I am in a solid 8.

Believe it or not my feet went from a 6.5-7 down to a solid 6.5!
pear / 1648 posts
About 1/2 size for me (8.5 to 9). It's been 9 months and I've just started buying new shoes...
@Mamasig: I never thought about future pregnancies - not sure I can handle parting with all my shoes AGAIN!
pear / 1657 posts
Yep. From a 9.5 to a 10. On the bright side, since many shoes don't come in 9.5 I had several pairs that were a bit big and still fit.
persimmon / 1481 posts
I went up at least a half size but I think they have gone back down at 4.5 months PP. I wore some flats yesterday that didn't fit me during pregnancy.

My feet got latter and wider, but I can still fit comfortably into my pre pregnancy shoes, so lengthwise, no.
eggplant / 11287 posts
Nope! Actually, I think they got narrower. I have always been a 7.5, but I used to be able to wear an 8 in some heels. Now, I am a 7.5, sometimes a 7. Also, my fingers got smaller and I had to get my rings resized!

@regberadaisy: mine too, slightly! I went from 8.5/9 to 8/8.5.
I bought a couple of pairs of shoes during pregnancy anticipating an increase, but sadly had to get rid of them. At least they were cheap!

Yes, I went from a 10 to an 11. I am livid. I stare longingly at all my Jimmy Choos ugh.
honeydew / 7622 posts
No thankfully. Some of shoes I have had for 10+ years. I only buy what I really need (I only have about 10 pairs) and buy high quality when I can, it would have been devistating. I am so not a shoe person.

Not so far, and not last time, but only went to 33 weeks. My mom's definitely did with me, so I'm nervous! I love my shoes! And I wear shoes tight, so I don't have room to grow at all.

I'm so scared of this, I have huge feet already! (size 10) Since I've been working from home, I just wear flip flops... now I am scared to try on my nice shoes! (28 weeks pregnant now)
pear / 1693 posts
No but my shoes all fit differently. My most comfortable pair pre baby now give me blisters, and shoes that used to rub are super comfortable now.

@peachykeen: my two pregnancies were close together so I didn't have time to replenish my collection. But now I'm waiting!

I was worried about this before lo was born - I've always kind of loved the fact that no matter what size my body is, my feet will always be a dependable little 6. I'm happy that eight weeks pp I am wearing all my old shoes comfortably! But they're mostly sandals since the weather is warm, we'll see if I have trouble when it's boots season again.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
Not quite half a size, I'm normally 5.5 and I am seeing that I fit into 6 better..

@MrsADS: For this pregnancy, it was recommended to me that I wear supportive, lace-up shoes (like sneakers) to prevent my feet from expanding anymore, since they are already so big.
@lady grey: I've pretty much been relegated to buying shoes online and I think the zappos customer service team and I are going to be on a first name basis pretty soon because I order and return so much.
pineapple / 12793 posts
Mine stayed the same. My mom grew a half size with each pregnancy. I was worried.
