Yep! Out of my three best friends, one is white, one is Puerto Rican, and the other Vietnamese.

One of them is Catholic, one non-denominational Christian, and the other agnostic.

Not really to any... We live in a more rural 'burn and it is 95% white. All of our friends are white and all of them are Christian. We only know people through church.

Very diverse. It reflects the population of our church and social circle. Hawaiian, Portuguese, Filipino, African American, Chinese, Japanese, Caucasian...

When we were living in Tokyo, the majority of LO's and my friends were Japanese, with a few expat friends from around the world. Now that we are living in Beijing, I can see that the expat community here is quite strong and close knit, so LO's friends will most likely be expat babies from Europe, US, and Australia. Also, many half asian and half western babies.

Not really, I don't have a huge group of friends but they are all white. Religion is different though! Some Christian, some Athiest, a catholic, etc.

No, I'd say most are white, but my best friend is Aboriginal and I have friends who are Filipino and Chinese. And one from Cambodia. And a cousin in law from Mexico.

My friends are very diverse, but moreso with my CA and WA friends than here. Our girls have an even more diverse group because of transracial adoption and the school we picked (which is probably 50% immigrant).

For me, yes! Most of my core 3-4 girlfriends are other Black women (either of U.S. or Caribbean origin mostly), BUT my larger friend circle is all over the place in terms of race and ethnicity: Korean, Japanese, Puerto Rican, Chilean, Filipino, etc. Our building and area is pretty varied as well (or at least I think so based on the people who seem to live or walk here). Most of my friends of other religions are Jewish. It's NYC, so it's hard not to know someone who is not Jewish whether practicing or not (at least that's my opinion).

For DH and I, our couple friend group is made up of a variety of interracial couples (like us!), which we love. We've got Laotian-Trinidadian, Chinese-Yankee WASP (her description, not mine! :)), Jewish-Filipino, etc. Our wedding looked like a Bennetton ad.

For DH it's a little different. He grew up in a small town with almost no racial diversity. Ethnically it was a little different as there were many people of Italian and Irish descent. His brother and brother's wife still live in the same general area, and I was the only non-white person at their wedding.

I'm excited for our 18 week-old fetus to meet our community next year.

Unfortunately no. Our state is one of the whitest in the nation; so there isn’t much diversity wherever you go. Every one of the kids in LO’s Infant room are white; although I do see a fair amount of Asian children in the preschool and toddler classes; so there is a little hope for diversity in LO’s future!!

Both DH and myself grew up in very diverse large cities; so it’s still weird for us to see basically only white, extra white, and extra extra white people. ;/

Our state is also the least religious in the country, and we don’t have any friends that are very religious; most are just “socially” religious, if religious at all.

Not really, we live in a small town that is not very diverse. We have a resonably large italian culture here, but mostly people are white. Most people are Christian too, (though we are not). We join a lot of mommy groups in the nearby city to meet new people, those groups are much more diverse

I don't have a LO yet, but our friends are pretty diverse. We're white and our friends are Indian, Asian, Hispanic, and white. Some are religious, some not - mostly a mix of Catholic, Hindu or Atheist.
