our beagle terrier weighed in at 19 lbs at her yearly checkup last week, she's up 4 lbs from last dec!! 
yorkie was up to 14 lbs, from 12 lbs. last year!
(I think they've had sympathy pains! :P)
They're both on a diet to lose some madddd doggy weight.

Our dogs aren't. My husband is strict about their diet so they stay fit. But my cat is pretty chubby.

Unfortunately since lo has gotten older and started bothering him more he skips his breakfast pretty regularly.
@mrsjyw: maybe the same will happen when your lo comes. Not a good diet to be on.... the baby is stressing me out diet.

oh ya. DH is an enabler..the dog goes outside to pee and gets a treat. ridic!
he didn't eat the entire first week LO was home and dropped lbs! but he's put some back on
eta - he's a 50 lb sheltie. HAHAH. but i think he's part collie..dog's a beast!

Nope, our cat is about 10lbs...tiny little thing compared to my last cat that was 23lbs...good gosh.

Nope, we leave his food out all the time & he is good about regulating himself. He's a big cat, but he's slim. Unlike his mama, haha. He should be in charge of rationing my food!

Not at all, but not for lack of trying. Our dog sleeps all day and eats like a horse, but he has a really slim build.

Hehe. My pom's parents were 3lbs and 5lbs. He was supposed to be little too.
He weighs 12 lbs and is a good sized pooch. Not overweight by a lot. Still can't figure out how he got so big.. good food and lots of sleep?

The last time we took our cat to the vet, we were told in all seriousness that she needed to lose 2 ounces. TWO OUNCES.
Poor little kitty, being badgered over 2 ounces.

My cat that now lives with my mom weighs 19lbs. He is so so fat. He has moobs and everything. When he sits on the floor his gut touches the ground. They keep him shaved like a lion, so it's not a pretty sight.

My cat is chubby 
my DH feeds her way too many treats. She is on special chubby-cat food, which she doesn't like. She begs like a dog and also steals food off of plates given the chance.
She stole an entire steak off my plate once and ran down the stairs with it! so naughty!

Our pup is very lean - we always call him a little racehorse. I can't really take too much credit because he has the fastest metabolism ever - we have to feed him 4 meals a day because he throws up if he goes to long without eating!

Our greyhound is overweight for her breed... she looks slim (relative to other dogs), but she's overweight!

I was mortified at my dog's last vet visit when I was told she was 15 lbs, up from her usual 14 lbs, and that she needed to lose that pound because she wasn't fat yet but it would be a problem if she couldn't lose the weight. When we got home I checked her food and realized that last time I switched brands I didn't adjust the amount and had been overfeeding her. Her trim waistline is back now!

One of my cats is a big fattie--he weighs 20 pounds. I cut down on their food and he hasn't lost any weight...not sure what to do.

My dogs got fatter when my toddler started eating finger foods. She quickly learned how fun it is to feed the doggies, and they quickly learned how to gently take food that she offered so as not to scare her. They were getting so much that they weren't finishing their dog food, and they put on weight. So we cut their food way back, and they're now normal.
