Our son's Kindergarten class has a couple of post-its on a piece of paper outside the door, with items like "Stapler" and "erasers" on it. Parents are asked to grab the post-its of items they don't mind buying, then to buy the supplies and bring them in.
It makes sense that now that schools are underfunded, parents are helping fund the supplies that the school used to purchase. I don't mind it, but it seems a little unfair: aren't teachers going to be grateful and appreciative to the parents who are able to buy the supplies?
