Do you listen to audiobooks? DH is getting into them and we have a few road trips planned over the next couple months. Is there a good way to listen to them on your phone? I have a Bluetooth connection in my car. Any audiobook you recommend. He's listening to A Song of Ice and Fire series right now. I'm reading them so we're going to get something different.

I use overdrive through the public library. It's free and the app is great. It plays like an ipod when I hook it up in my car. I can also download the files directly to the phone with the app. I love it. Only downside is the library only lets you borrow for 14 days, but it would be perfect for a roadtrip.

@Leialou: the library has a pretty extensive collection of audiobooks that you can borrow for a few days at a time. You can download the Overdrive app and listen on your phone. All you need is a library card with a participating library.
Also try Audible.com. It's a subscription service and I think you get 2 books a month for a set fee? I've seen some coupon codes for a free trial on the net lately and several of my book club ladies use it.

I use audible. I got 3 months for like $5 to try it out and I have liked it well enough to continue the subscription service. I love it for when I am working on crafts or on long trips.

Yup...the library is a necessary stop for us before any long car trip. I try to get a variety, so we have options.
Usually, we get the plug&play variety, though CDs work alright, too.

Our local library uses this app Hoopla. Similar to overdrive. We listened to the Divergent books on a long car trip recently. So easy to just download to your phone!

The library has a fantastic selection of audio books. Both physical and through overdrive. The only problem with overdrive is you can't renew so if you don't finish your book in two weeks, you lose the book!
Usually, we get the plug&play variety, though CDs work alright, too.
