@HappyBaker: Ah, the digital ones are so satisfying!

As for me, I don't know why I didn't think about this before now but DH is out of town until Sunday (CD10). I usually ovulate around CD13 so that's cutting it a little close!

Congrats @happybaker! Finallyyyy got a positive digital this morning so looks like this is really happening

@Shybee23: Something about a digital that really makes it feel real! I remember when I found out I was pregnant with LO I made DH take me out in the aftermath of an ice storm to buy some Clear Blue Estimators even though my line was as clear as day b/c I was so shocked to have gotten a BFP Congrats again!

@Shybee23: Congrats! Come join us on the April Due Date board if you haven't already

DH doesn't believe me until I take a positive digital (either time!).

We're trying SMEP this cycle, but it's not really necessary to BD the last day if my temp has already risen, right? Today is our day off and tomorrow while possibly doable is not very convenient. Then my temp jumped 0.68F this morning so I don't even know if it'd be worth the trouble tomorrow (chart below). The time between the first +OPK and the temp spike is the same as last cycle, so I expect the trend to continue even though I still observed other fertile symptoms this morning. Is that last day just thrown into the plan for people who only rely on the OPKs and don't temp?

@nanilani: wow nice work girl!! I think with that schedule I'd definitely be ok skipping the last one. I agree it is probably for people who aren't temping so can't totally confirm when ovulation happened. Good luck!!

@HappyBaker: Thanks. Of course I got a +OPK the day after BD so no break before the three in a row, go figure I'm really putting all my hopes on this cycle due to upcoming schedule conflicts; I'm not sure what our plan will be next month if I get a BFN.

@nanilani: wow! That's some serious work! I hope this is your month!! I think I would be ok missing the last day, give what your chart looks like. You could also throw in an early morning the day after tomorrow if that worked better for your schedules, though.

@nanilani: i totally get the scheduling conflicts. I'm so hopeful for this month and worried a bit that if it doesn't happen - I don't know what to do. We will move in June from Europe back to the US for my job and being on maternity leave and getting a passport for a brand new baby would be hard (perhaps not possible) in less than a month - I hate to delay trying again as I'm closing in on my 40th birthday - but realistically I don't know what we would do after this month.

I just got a positive OPK on CD7, WTF? The earliest I've ever ovulated before was CD12 (usually it is CD13 for left ovary cycles and CD15 for right ovary cycles). I wasn't even going to start peeing on things until tomorrow, but, I love to POAS. Sweetie and I did not BD at all in the last 3 days and today and tomorrow are horrible schedule-wise.

@lilyofthewest: ugh, sorry. I had a similar situation this month and gave up my sleep for bd which was not the most fun. If you can give it a shot though I think today and tomorrow still give you a solid chance!

Umm, guys, I did a pregnancy test this morning...just cause it seemed so strange to have a blazing positive OPK on CD7. I'm really not feeling good about this though...worried it is another loss. Until I changed it just now to see one continuous chart, I had Sun through Thurs marked as light bleeding

@lilyofthewest: How long has it been since your HCG from your last loss was tested to 0?

I don't mean to scare you but this is very similar to what happened to me when I had an ectopic.

@lilyofthewest: wow! Certainly there are some who bleed and have a healthy pregnancy so I wouldn't give up hope, but maybe time to call your ob to give them the whole picture and ask for betas? Fx for you!

    nectarine / 2242 posts

@lilyofthewest: oh wow! that's actually what I thought when I just read your 7 day OPK post - that maybe you were actually pregnant! Good luck!!

Planning to get serial betas. I would feel hopeful if it was just the bleeding, but, my chart looks terrible too.

So I'm having IUI #2 tomorrow! That means my test day is gonna move up (I wasn't expecting to have my IUI until Sunday or Monday). Now I'm going to test on August 25th!

@lilyofthewest: when will you have your first beta?

BFN this morning. I'm not going to say I'm totally out yet... Last time I tested on DPO 12 and got a stark negative. Today is only DPO 12 or 13 (I think). My period is due Sunday, so i guess I won't have too long to wait to find out.

@HeartAbandoned: Ideally today, but I'm waiting to hear back from my midwifery practice about whether it makes sense to start follow-up through them or if I should just contact an OB practice I've also seen in case I need a D&C.

  24. lilyofthewest

    pear / 1697 posts

My midwives said they'd rather I see the OB practice for initial workup since things look wonky. I'm not symptomtic for ectopic, so they're in no hurry to see me :p. I go in on Monday. It will be a long 3 days!

    clementine / 933 posts

@lilyofthewest: I'm so thankful you're not symptomatic for an ectopic, but I know it will be a crazy long 3 days. Good luck!

@Bernieboo: I hope it's just early for you!

I got my positive OPK today (11th). I've noticed I consistently get three days of positives before ovulating, so I expect to ovulate on the 14th.

Just curious, how long are your LH surges? Is it consistent month to month?

  27. skinnycow

    pear / 1728 posts

@Raspberry: I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum. I only get one positive test and I test 2-3 times per day.

I'm starting to get anxious about this cycle. DH is out of town until Sunday (CD10) and I just want to get started.

I am so conflicted. Really feel hopeful that we conceived this cycle for a variety of reasons. But worries that I'll be extremely disappointed if it's a bfn - even if it was because I POAS too early. Part of me wants to test - maybe Monday at 11 dpo and part of me just wants to wait to see if AF shows on Thursday. Have any of you felt so conflicted? What did you do about it?

  30. bhbee

    cantaloupe / 6086 posts

@MrsJBeeG: I understand that feeling - better to be hopeful! I'm sort of feeling that way this time - I think I'll be 9dpo in Monday but not sure I want to know. i may actually be more scared of a bfp but don't expect it to happen. I say if you can hold out do it!

  31. MrsJBeeG

    clementine / 787 posts

@bhbee: thanks! I think I'll try to wait - not certain if I'll make it to day 28 but I think I'll try. A little scared of a bfp too but scared of the disappointment of a bfn and having to peotential delay ttc due to our move next summer. Too bad this isn't ever easy.

Lines are starting to get darker. DH gets home tomorrow afternoon but we won't be able to BD until DD goes to bed I'm nervous about the timing!

Well I'm out this month. AF showed up yesterday. And after 19 months with no real period, I feel like my body is getting revenge on me lol. This one is bad. But I'm super hopeful for next cycle! (That's how it happened for M, 2 months no cycle, 1 weird light cycle, 1 regular cycle and then a BFP!) good luck to everyone still here!!

@HappyBaker: it's OK! It's still super early for us, only really our first cycle. And I'm trying to be positive and think of all the reasons next month will be better lol (I'll be able to eat sushi on vacation next week at my favorite sushi place on earth! I won't associate conceiving with the weekend M was in the hospital, etc).

@Bernieboo: Sorry! Is it your first PP period? Mine was a bloodbath. It got better after a few cycles for me!

  39. Bernieboo

    cherry / 121 posts

@skinnycow: well technically my first was in July, but it was super short and light, so I think this one is the first real one. I have endo also, so while it's definitely rough, this is pretty typical for me, though definitely heavier flow.

Has anyone gotten strong bouts of nausea and lightheadness towards the end of the tww? I nearly barfed in the shower this morning after straightening up from shaving my legs. I was feeling (and have been feeling) lightheaded and have had very mild nausea from time to time but this morning it was strong. Not certain if it's just hormones that will decrease by Thursday when AF is due or a positive sign.
