@nana87: YAYYYY! How exciting! I've been rooting for you since your whole "should we or shouldn't we" conundrum. I'm glad you decided you should That's a great line!

@pui: Yay for crosshairs. I SO hope that this is your month. I guess its the hormones but I got kinda teary eyed seeing your crosshairs and envisioning your BFP post in a couple of weeks. WTF is wrong with me??? Haha.

Hi everyone.
Thanks for all the welcomes and encouragement girls, you sure know how to make a newbee feel welcome!
Currently having first month ttc crazies... have encouraged DH to remind me to keep me sane.
Going to poas on 26th, I think - we'll see how the month progresses!
I'm currently busy reading through the backlog of posts, and getting up-to date on my acronyms!

Yay @nana87! Congrats on your BFP!!!
@T.H.O.U. Wait, how did I miss this? You got your BFP?!? !!!! So happy for you!

@MRSHONEYBEAR: We LOVE living in CO. This move is for work, and happily is back to where we're from and where our families live, but we're still sad. We're considering moving back here if he ever decides to change jobs.
@nana87: Congratulations!!! Happy dance and sticky dust!
@pui: Yay crosshairs! Your chart definitely looks good! Lots of baby dust and fingers crossed for you!
Thanks to everyone on the positive thoughts for our move. It's been moved back again, so now we're looking at the 27th. That's supposed to be a firm date, but if they keep stalling on signing the contract there's no telling. Oh well. At least I won't be trying to decide whether to poas in a hotel room or gas station bathroom!
Also, another temp rise, so I'm feeling very confident that I'm in the TWW. Looking forward to seeing my first crosshairs soon! http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/LizSmith17 Fingers crossed for all of us to survive the TWW with our sanity intact!
And a question for those of us trying to pass the time- do you have something you promise yourself for when AF arrives? Sort of a consolation prize/something to look forward to other than being disappointed if she shows? I don't allow myself Starbucks during the TWW, to avoid the caffeine and sugar, so that's my big plan for AF. I won't be sad, I'll be happy to have Starbucks, gosh darnit!

@nana87: SO happy for you!!! Congratulations to you and your DH! Exciting!

We got an official move date! The 29th! This takes a lot of stress off me, which is good for TTC, right? ^_^
honeydew / 7463 posts
@LizSmith: Chart is looking good and so is your BD'ing. FX for you!
Is it really weird that I'm looking forward to entering the TWW again? I really hope the doc clears me for September so that I can join the POAS board again as an actual POAS'er!
bananas / 9899 posts
@SweetiePie: I am SO looking forward to the 2WW!! I haven't had a chance to really do a 2WW yet, so it's all exciting for me!
honeydew / 7463 posts
@pui: I know! I've been following your saga since May and I think that's why I got so excited to see your chart and crosshairs. Your BFP is going to be a huge HB celebration I think

@pui: chart looks amazing! go, girl!!!
@lizsmith: so glad the move stuff is settled. i kow that must feel so great! let the stress-free BD-ing begin!
pomelo / 5607 posts
@pui: @mfa_lady: Yes, such a relief! With this company we were supposed to move every 1-2 years, so after 4 of being in one place we've been waiting for this for a while! And we got our notice that we would be moving back in April, and it's been pushed back over and over. So excited now!
@SweetiePie: Thanks! And that's not weird! I'm really excited since this is in some ways our first official TWW. It's fun, especially since it's early on for us so there's no sense of desperation or anything.
honeydew / 7463 posts
@LizSmith: Ugh, been there, done that re: the move date uncertainty. It caused so much extra stress for me in an already stressful time - you know you have so much to do (pack, schedule movers, take the day off from work, etc) but can't ACTUALLY do any of it because you are still in limbo! So glad you have a date, and it should DEFINITELY help with the TTC. I'm convinced that stress vs calm makes a difference!
pomelo / 5607 posts
@SweetiePie: Yep. It's exhausting and frustrating! The good thing is the movers actually do all the packing for us as well, and I convinced DH to pay for a cleaner to do the post-move apartment cleaning. It'll be a lot less work. But there's still a ton to do to move 2 people and 3 animals 1100 miles!
honeydew / 7463 posts
@LizSmith: Yes!! I did the same thing. I packed my personal items (bathroom stuff and under garments) but the rest we paid the movers for. I was going through 80 hour work weeks (big deadline) PLUS had just miscarried a few weeks before AND was scheduled to go to China for 2 weeks before the move. I was just not feeling the whole packing thing.
But then I had the new stress of "what?!? They will pack AND move our entire apartment in one day???" Granted we were only moving 30 blocks away and it was just a 1 bedroom apartment with 2 people in it, but still it just didn't seem possible so I was still kinda stressed leading up to it. Going to bed the night before the move with everything in the apartment like normal was weird for me, but alas they did it! I guess that's what they get paid for!
pomelo / 5607 posts
@SweetiePie: I'm glad to hear from someone who's had the movers do the packing. I'm totally weirded out by it, cause it seems impossible to do it so quickly, but I guess that's what they're paid for!
honeydew / 7463 posts
@LizSmith: Yep. They came at 8am to start packing and I thought for sure we wouldn't be in the new place till 5pm at the earliest (and our new building had a 5pm cut off time)...I didn't even think they'd finish that day! I'm not even exaggerating when I say that they had the truck fully loaded by 11am and had unloaded into the new apartment by 1pm. I was shocked. It was a great experience and we're going to do it every time we move (which hopefully doesn't happen for a few more years!)

thanks everyone!
@SweetiePie: awww thanks! Everyone was so sweet about giving advice when I wasn't sure if we should avoid, and I'm so glad we didn't! I do feel really bad that we're going to end up missing the wedding, but I'm one of 10 bridesmaids so it's not like I'll totally leave her in the lurch (<--what I'm telling myself so I don't feel too guilty!)
honeydew / 7463 posts
@nana87: Don't feel guilty at all! You both have big life events at the same time, you can just be happy and excited for each other Maybe you can be a bridesmaid up until the wedding - still be recognized and help with a shower, etc but not actually be in the wedding. That way she knows you still care and want to be a part of her day/year
cantaloupe / 6171 posts
@SweetiePie: absolutely! I'll be like 6 months along at her bachelorette party but will still rock out with her! Plus she has a special bridal party pinterest board that I will take extra time to comment on, haha

@pui: so I don't really know anything about charting, but I am so happy things are going in the right direction for you! Hooray for the 2 ww!!

Heads up, I changed my username. Was LizSmith. Figured using my real name wasn't the best policy, even though you could still track down who I really am through the link in my profile. Gonna keep the avatar for now for continuity.

@SupernovaJ @chibee @nana87 @T.H.O.U Congratulations!
This board is moving so fast I can barely keep up! I'm going in for my follicle check on Sat morning and if I had to guess IUI #2 will be next Wed. FX that FIs swimmers find their mark this month
nectarine / 2086 posts
@torchwood how did you change your username? I've been wondering the same thing and wishing I had used another name!
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
FYI to anyone interested. I'm 9DPO and caved and took a pregnancy test. BFN. Of course. As expected. But still a disappointment. I have just one test left and don't care to buy anymore. So I may test again Saturday morning before I head out to Palm Springs with my sister. AF is expected anytime from Monday - Wednesay. Ugh. Hate this TWW.
pomelo / 5607 posts
@heybrookeashley: Just go to the help section (http://help.hellobee.com/) and post a request. The only problem is you don't know what usernames are taken, so you might want to put more than one option. My first choice was taken.
@MrsMcD: Sorry! But at least it's early! I bought a ton of wondfos so I could test as often as I want. The TWW can drive you nuts! Fingers crossed and baby dust for a different result on the next one!
kiwi / 728 posts
@MrsMcD: boo!! But it is still really early, don't count yourself out yet! At least you have something fun coming up this weekend. Enjoy Palm Springs.
GOLD / pomegranate / 3938 posts
@Torchwood: @ellewoods84: Thanks for the encouragement, girls!

@MrsMcD: It's still very early! You're not out yet!!
I always wait until at least 14 DPO before testing... I hate BFNs.
