@Littlebit: My husband always complains that he wants to have sex more often (we already DTD at least 4 times a week) but then when I'd say we need to do it he wouldn't want to.

I think it's the "need to" part that turns him off. This time around I just flirted with him and such and we managed to BD everyday for a week without a problem lol.

@peapie I agree your temps looks super promising! They just keep on climbin!

@MRSHONEYBEAR: That's wonderful to hear about your husband! Mine is on board with trying now, but not really excited. I'm glad yours is getting there!

@pui: BIG fingers crossed that that's a good sign!!! And I agree with those saying symptoms don't mean much. I had zero until the day before my BFP, and even then it was solely that my boobs got bigger. It wasn't till a couple weeks later that I really felt any different at all. I kept waiting for AF to show, even when I knew it wouldn't!

@Tundra Daisy: Fingers crossed for your good news! The TWW really is hard!

@littlek: Agreed that no AF is good! You're stronger than me; I'd have gone and bought more already. ^_^

@PEAPIE: That does sound promising, and the chart looks so great! Fingers crossed for you

@buttermilk: Like I said to pui above, I was one of them with no symptoms!

@doxielove: Fingers crossed you O soon! Though I have to say, am I the only one who is used to O meaning orgasm? I feel a little weird every time I use it for ovulation.

@Littlebit: I'm in the exact same situation. My libido is naturally relatively low, so I figured DH would be thrilled about TTC BDing since he normally complains about not getting enough. Nope. I think part of it is that he thinks I don't want HIM, just to get a baby. And since I got KU from literally ONE time last time, he thinks he has super sperm and I'm being ridiculous with the OPK's and frequent BDing. Also, yay gold!

So I'm at the point I'm POAS every morning. I just need to get it out of my system so I can not think about it the rest of the day. Plus, some part of me feels like a negative is less depressing so early, and having seen negatives for a while will make them less depressing when they're more definite. I'm not sure if that's really gonna work or if I just convinced myself as an excuse to POAS, but hey, I'm still having fun with it so as long as I'm not stressed I'm not gonna worry.

@pui @littlebit perhaps a little tmi but it seems DH and I have never been more in the mood than when we are ttc! I know for me something about the idea of possibly creating life really gets me in the mood lol! I guess it's just my body's natural instinct?

  6. Torchwood

    pomelo / 5607 posts

@buttermilk: I feel the same! DH isn't on board, but when we're trying I want to go all the time!

@Torchwood: DH has me on a budget, so that keeps me from buying more. Plus, I'd like a definitive, "yes" or "no", I don't want to play a guessing game.

  9. Torchwood

    pomelo / 5607 posts

@PEAPIE: Thanks! Hopefully we all are!

@littlek: Yeah, I get that. I bought the wondfos because of budget, and DH was even annoyed about that. And the OPK's, and the BBT thermometer. I think spending money TTC reminds him of how much a baby will cost! ^_^

@Torchwood: Haha, no, you're not the only one who referred to O as orgasm. It took me a long time to adjust its meaning lol!!

@Littlebit: Me, me! DH and I often struggle to even maintain EOD during my fertile time. Eventually he gives in, but it's with a loooooot of nagging. <<not proud of this, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do!! I've tried the sexy seduction and that doesn't work. I have to flat out communicate when we need to bone. Not fun! I think deep down he's still confused as to WHY we need to bone multiple times. (increasing odds, and such). He comes from the school of thought of "it only takes once...," which, yes, that's true...but I'd be pretty bummed if we only got it in once during my fertile time! I feel ya girl!

  12. Littlebit

    nectarine / 2932 posts

@pui: LOL, that's exactly what my husband says! He'll say 'lets just do it everyday.' But when it comes down to it, he wont want to!

Men! Little boogers. I swear, he's a horndog the rest of the month. But when we actually 'need' to? It's like pulling teeth. He said he doesn't like to know when we 'need' to..but I mean, it's pretty obvious that I have a low sex drive. And then all of a sudden I try jumping him 5 times in a week? He also doesn't understand why it needs to be done at certain times. He's like, can't we just do it twice tomorrow? First of all, if you don't want to do it once today, what makes you think you'll want to do it twice tomorrow?? Second, timing is everything! The egg will be donzo by then.

Ladies in the TWW, let's play a game to help pass the time!

When you get your BFP, is there anything special you want to eat to celebrate?

I'd pick a cupcake with a brownie on top. Which is odd because I'm not usually that into sweets or chocolate, but have had this idea in my head the past few days and I can't shake it.

    bananas / 9899 posts

@Sprite: Aw this is a cute game!

When I get my BFP I am going to eat cheese tortellini with rose sauce!

And I'll make myself a yellow cake with buttercream icing!

  15. Littlebit

    nectarine / 2932 posts

Hmm! I love cookie cakes and haven't had one in years!! Maybe a slice or two of one of those!

@pui: I'm intrigued, what is rose sauce? ETA...never mind, I googled! I was thinking it was something flavored like rose petal jam or something, not just creamy red sauce. Sounds delish!

@Littlebit: Yum! I haven't had a cookie cake in decades

DH suggested awhile ago that I find a treat to give myself each day I get a BFN on any test (OPK or HPT.) Since then, we've kept a generous supply of Cocoa Krispies in the house. I get to have a bowl (with coconut milk, yum!) each time I get a BFN. It doesn't really soften the disappointment, but it tastes yummy. Teehee!

When I get a BFP, I'm going to eat some watermelon. Though I love water, I don't drink enough of it, so I'll be adding this in as a compensatory measure...

my family has a red velvet cake recipe that we use to celebrate just about every occasion. its been a family tradition! in fact I actually baked my own wedding cake with that recipe. so I'd clearly have to bake one to celebrate my first bfp!

Hi all, just popping in to cheer on TWWers! I hope good news shows on lots of sticks!!!

And oh myyyy @pui: those look faaaabulous! I hope that that is coming your way very, very soon!

  22. Torchwood

    pomelo / 5607 posts

@doxielove: Though I guess our goal here is to make both types of O coincide, so maybe I am hoping for both? ^_^

@Sprite: Mmm, I've thought of what I'll have if AF shows, to make myself feel better (venti peppermint white chocolate mocha from Starbucks!), but not what I should do to celebrate. The cookie cake looks awfully yummy! I'll be giving this some thought!

@Sprite: I want your cupcake! I'm cupcake obsessed!

Maybe I'll make this cake I've been eyeing on Pinterest might not be a good way to celebrate since I suck at baking!

I've been eyeing these rootbeer float cupcakes for some time now.. DH considers cupcakes its own food group and thinks one should be had every day so I would say this is a good celebration food..

Suddenly I am experiencing cramping and spotting... Maybe my LP is just short?

  34. Torchwood

    pomelo / 5607 posts

@pui: Those can also be signs of implantation! Fingers crossed for you that that's what it is. For what it's worth, I had mild to moderate cramps leading up to my BFP before.

  35. pui

    bananas / 9899 posts

@Torchwood: Isn't implantation bleeding usually dark? This is bright red.

  36. Torchwood

    pomelo / 5607 posts

@pui: Dr. Google says it varies, and I don't think bright red is automatically bad, but I don't know.

  37. Sprite

    kiwi / 693 posts

@pui: since you're my clomid friend on this board, I thought you should know I spent a couple hours yesterday googling, and apparently you can have AF/period like symptoms, including spotting, the entire TWW as a side effect. I've been having a lot of cramping since about 3DPO, which I've never had before. Extra med induced symptoms to obsess about, fun! But FX it really is implantation bleeding. Your temps support that theory!

  38. Sprite

@mrsog: you look pretty well covered with the BD'ing, although it couldn't hurt do one more night.

  39. PEAPIE

@Sprite: My celebratory meal would probably involve going out to eat, for sure And DEF ice cream afterwords!

@pui: Can someone deliver me a plate of that tortellini, like, NOW! Yum! (But the gluten free version)

And FYI. I went to Walgreens today and DID NOT BUY HPTs, on purpose (12 DPO) ! Y'all are going to take away my POAS Card for that, aren't you?!
