I just realized we have really been slacking in the reading department lately. The girls have been so into other things it slips my mind, despite the hundreds of books we have around here. They have a reading challenge at school so we will pick up the slack this month. Normally we read a few books per day, on average.

We only read at bedtime so 2-3 per day (depends on the length)

3-4? Mainly at bedtime, sometimes one in the morning or before supper.

2-3 at bedtime, but I know they get story-time at daycare too.

Anywhere from 5 to a million. It's the same books over and over again though.

We read about three books at bedtime but I know he reads at least three books at school too.

Some days it's zero, but once she starts 1 book, we usually go through like 6-8!

We make a point of 3 at bedtime, but sometimes I'll read 4-5 depending on her mood and wakefulness. Other than that, not many during the day.

Same as @snowjewelz: Some days none and others lots! We may need to make it part of the bedtime routine at some point but for now it's all over the place. We read a ton in his first year and he really does love books, he just doesn't want to sit still just now.

I read her new library books over breakfast, each morning. Then she gets a few before bed. She occasionally asks for me to read throughout the day, as well.

Probably 10+. At least! We read 2-3 at nap, 2-3 at bedtime, plus they bring me books all day long to read to them. They don't always sit still for some of the longer books, but if it's a board book we might read through it several times in one sitting before I can convince them to switch to another book.

Just a couple of pages at bedtime with me, he's into the latest issue of Consumer Reports.

At least 4 at bedtime, and more during the day if it's the weekend. During the week we use books on cd/record so we can get stuff done. But being read to is her FAVORITE THING EVER.

We read for at least 10 minutes before nap and LO1's bedtime plus a couple books before LO2's bedtime. So at the absolute minimum about 6 books a day. In the winter we also read a lot throughout the day but when it's nice we spend more time outside and less time reading.

We typically read 2-4 books per day, but will read each book 2-3x because LO demands us to repeat

Lately it's his favourite thing. We've read the same one a few times today. He's got about 4 favourites right now that we read multiple times every day.

18 months. Board books are what's up around here. I would say he wants DH and I to each read about 3-4 books to him a day, and he wants them repeated 2-3x each. But the board books are like picture or word books and no more than 10 pages long, so not a big deal.

About 12 to 15 if we are stuck indoors due to the weather, more like 5 to 10 if we go for morning and afternoon walks.

We read for about 45 minutes a day. A half hour before bed out of a chapter book and about 15 minutes of pictures books throughout the day. So probably 5-6? I feel like I'm buying new books every week.

3-4? She's 8mo, so she doesn't pay a lot of attention anyway, but she seems to enjoy it.

About 6? Always 3 before bed but usually a couple in the morning or before bath
