Whenever I hear moms who talk about their LOs who self weaned themselves off the boob Im always confused. Do they mean they weaned themselves off from nursing from the breAst or from breastmilk in general, even pumped into a bottle?

I always say that Wagon Jr. self-weaned at 7 months. He just wasn't interested in breastfeeding anymore. He'd pop off to sit up, struggle against me... etc. He still took a bottle just fine. So we moved onto bottles. In general I've read that babies are just more interested in the world around them around 7 months. I never had any goal to make it to a year or anything, so we just stopped rather than trying to convince him to continue.

My LO self weaned by 4 months. She would battle the boob but take pumped bottle no problem.
