When a young baby, or even a child, gets sick there is so little you can do for them. A cool mist humidifier is often recommended if they cough at night. I often add a few drops of eucalyptus oil as well because it's supposed to help with the cough. I don't know "scientifically/medically" why but I swear it helps both my girls. And also the winter air is so dry!

We only use one when she has a cough. We both had a cold a few weeks ago and I know I felt a lot better sleeping in her room with the humidifier on- less sore throat and stuffy nose. But we only use it if she is congested or coughing.

We used when he was sick-- he got croup multiple times. Other than that we didn't use it.

We use it nightly in the winter since it's so dry! We put it on low normally but crank it up if DD has a cold. It helps!

We use ours in the winter, once the humidity drops into the 30s or lower. I believe there's some science that shows viruses have an easier time surviving in dryer air, plus it just makes it easier to breathe when it's not so dry. We're in VA, so once it starts getting warmer, our humidity hovers in the 60s on a good day and way higher otherwise so we only use it if it's dry. I do think it helps.

We use ours all the time. Our house is very dry, especially in the winter. DH and I sleep with a humidifier as well.
