Xander is almost 4 months old. He hasn't had a wet diaper since 4:30 (it's 9:30 now). He seems to be acting normal. I nursed him at 6:00 and he seemed to be eating normal. He usually pees shortly after eating, but hasn't yet. He went to bed at 7:15 and I woke him to nurse. Still no wet diaper. He's nursing now like normal, but should I be concerned with the lack of peeing that's happening?

I Wouldn't be worried. My LO sometimes goes all night without peeing but she always SERIOUSLY wets her diaper once she's up and moving around.

@Adira: I'd call your pediatrician after hours line to just make sure, but I think if she has one in within 6-8 hours it is OK.... and I think she is peeing as I am typing this.....

@Adira: yup. My LO started to go longer stretches at that point. If he doesn't wet his diaper within an hour of waking up in the morning I might call the nurses line for advice but until then I wouldn't worry.

@MamaMoose: Hmmm... Okay. He usually has a very wet diaper in the morning, so maybe I will wait until then.

At three months L stopped wetting over night. The first night she did it I freaked out and went to see the doc. He said as long as she had enough wet diapers during the day that she's fine. She holds it for 12-13 hours every night.

@oliviaoblivia: Oh wow, that's impressive!!! Maybe that 's what Xander is doing. I'm going to hope for a wet diaper in the morning. That will be 12 hours since his last one.

He peed!!!! Never thought I'd be so happy to change a diaper!
