We are traveling 2 hours away and staying the weekend in a hotel for my sisters wedding next month, when C will be 8 months old. I will be busy with wedding and bridesmaid stuff for much of the time, so Dh will stay with her Friday (probably skipping the rehearsal and dinner altogether, he isn't in te wedding party). Saturday (wedding day) Dh will stay with we, bring her to the ceremony, I'll go to te hotel and feed her, then I have to go for pictures and he will pass her off to a baby sitter before the reception. She is currently still breastfed with maybe one meal of solids a day.
My questions: the hotel is providing a mini fridge, which I assume will have a teeny freezer. I'm bringing frozen pumped milk for her, and the freezer should be ok right? We will also bring a cooler that we can refill with ice. I want to bring more milk than she could go through but not let it melt and be wasted.
How to warm up the milk? She will take it room temp so I'm thinking just running water in the bathroom sink, or making hit water in the coffee machine?
An my big fear is that C will go down for her nap before the babysitter (who none of us have met, sisters friends mom) arrives and she will wake up to no mom or dad and a total stranger. Tell me she will be ok?
I SAH with her so I'm just very anxious about all the logistics and being away from her so much! I will pump regularly while getting ready and stuff so not worried about that.
I'm such a worrier over this!
