Keep your fingers crossed for me please!! E is sleeping in her nursery tonight for the first time - she is 10 weeks.
We have put her moses basket into her cot so the only change tonight is the room..... She went down in exactly the same way, with three wake ups, and is now sleeping peacefully. Eek!

oooh, good luck! i was super nervous when we moved LO to his own room too. he barely even seemed to notice anything was different, to be honest!

I was nervous the first night DS slept in his room. I don't think he even knew. He slept the same as in our room.

Best of luck! I'm sure she'll do great! I think the transition was tougher on me than her when we did it.

Good luck! You can always go back if it doesn't work tonight, but FWIW, my daughter's first night in her own room ended up being the best night of sleep we had since before she was born.

Good morning everyone! It's now 8.30am.
E did wonderfully last night - it was as if the transition hadn't happened at all! It took her an hour to go to sleep fully - which it always does. She then slept 8.5 hrs straight, to 4am, which she usually does. Then she made it through to 7am and was woken by DH's alarm (from the next room - agh!), which she always is. The only difference was she then went back to sleep for another hour.
I, on the other hand, had a dreadful night! I struggled to get to sleep then I was awake every 15 mins or so, worrying I'd missed her waking! Then after her 4am bottle (which all went very well) I felt that I could settle - but then it was only 3 hrs until DH got up!! Oh well, perhaps tonight will be better now I know it's all okay!

Yay, E! I'm so glad she did so well!
I was a wreck for a while after we moved C too. I woke myself up all night being paranoid. It goes away after a while.

Glad she did so well! It's funny how some things are tougher on us mamas than them! We moved S into her own room a few nights ago and now she's there for night time and naps and seems to love it! Not only is she sleeping longer, but I'll often go in around the 3hr mark (usual sleeping time) to find her awake and just looking around, where before she would cry for us upon waking!

@illumina: Aaw! Bless her!! I'll never "find" E in a certain mood/position because I'm a chronic monitor watcher!
@Foodnerd81: Do you really feel that? Oh blimey, I feel like "woah, how come our babies are only in the double weeks?". The early newborn days seem so, so long ago now. I've already retired a huge box of her clothes, she's sleeping in her own room. I keep forgetting she's still so young!!

@Cherrybee: lol don't worry, eventually your body and brain will calm down about her being in another room! I still wake at the slightest cry, but I don't feel the need to check her breathing every hour anymore 
I'm with you on the newborn days feeling so long ago. It feels like another lifetime.

@Cherrybee: I feel both that they are 'already' 10 weeks and 'only' 10 weeks. You are right that it seems like forever ago- though C is kindly reminding of the newborn days with the waking every two hours. I'm hoping she follows E's lead and sleeps better and I hear you on waking even when she doesn't- it's so annoying! I figure we will all adjust at some point. Like before they go to college at least.

Aw you'll get used to it! i still have some nights where i wake up a lot all paranoid about the baby. Glad she did so well, though!
