My 3 month old woke me up because he was loudly laughing and cooing. I turned on his sleep sheep and then after a few minutes he just abruptly fell back asleep. Our room is dark, so I can't tell if his eyes were open and he saw his mobile or something or if he was maybe dreaming or something like that. It was pretty cute, though.
Anyone else's baby do this? Is this normal?

She wasn't asleep but LO woke me up at around 3am once when she was like 2 months old or so. I was half-asleep and getting ready to nurse her while she laid on our bed. All of a sudden she just giggled at me. I woke up instantly and my grumpy tired mood turned right around. She wouldn't do it again but it was so cute and made me so happy.

So cute! My DS used to do this as a newborn. He actually laughed in his sleep the night he was born; melted my heart.

DS was funny because of how suddenly he fell back asleep. All of a sudden he just laid his arms on his mattress and was out.

that is so cute!! LO sometimes makes cooing noises, but that usually means he is awake..... when he was really tiny he used to laugh in his sleep - the cutest!

She used to every now and then, but not much any more. But, a few nights ago, she had a fever and was super tired. She fell asleep in my arms before bed (never happens), and started laughing in her sleep as I put her in the crib (she's 14 months). It took everything in me to not crack up out loud and wake her up.

This is adorable! LO did this once or twice when he's woken up in the middle of the night and is putting himself back to sleep. It's like whatever he's thinking or playing with just cracked himself up! So cute!!

After I nurse DD in the middle of the night I put her down awake and go back to bed. I hear her laughing and playing in her crib for 15-20 minutes before she decides to roll over and fall back asleep. Pretty cute even if its 4am!

LO will start laughing on the monitor in the middle of the night still, she does this all the time. And she will cry in her sleep, I"ll go in there and she will be dead asleep but making fake crying sounds...too funny.

When she was a newborn my LO would laugh out loud in her sleep. she would also cry in her sleep too

both of my LOs talk and giggle in their sleep it is adorable
however there is a flipside, crying in their sleep
