i have 1 good friend that i'll be close to starting in august, as long as she doesn't move back to the city! also have a cousin who will be near by. other than that, will have to make some new friends. my other good friends are all over the place.

My only baby mama support system is my sister. I'm okay with it because my LO is still young and I'm sure as he gets older and involved in more activities I'll meet other mamas.

I have one good friend who was pregnant with me (our girls are 2 weeks apart) and it definitely helped a LOT. It has been a bit lonely at times when all of my friends are single/engaged. But Hellobee helps a great deal!

@mrsjyw: Our situation is a lot like yours!! We have a few good friends who have babies but they both live about 4-5 hours away Most of our friends are single or nowhere near baby years. It's hard but WB (& now HB) helped me a LOT. Finding someone who has a baby due around the time of yours really helped me, just little messages & updates is so helpful! And other mommas with babies the same age love to talk about the same things you do...which is really fun! I love my best friend dearly but she really doesn't know a thing about diapers or labor or birthday ideas for a 1 year old hehe

I am in the opposite position. Of course we have DH's DD who I WISH we had full custody of. But within our group of friends we are the last ones to have a LO. DD is 8 so she is older than anyone in our groups LO. Same with all my friends back home in MN that I grew up with. One day!
I feel ya on the support of HB. Thank goodness for sure. Helped me a lot thats for sure! ; )

I was thinking about this a few months ago! I was really worried that whenever DH and I start having kids, we won't know anyone that is also having kids! My poor DH has no friends because all his buddies slowly ended up moving away from here. And I only have 2 close friends. One of them has a 9 month old and is married and the other is just dating.

So as horrible as this sounds, we joined a church so we make friends who are going to have babies soon! hahaha. I was all freaking out because I was worried I wouldn't know enough people to have a baby shower! Now we know people, so I feel better. I just hope that we will be able to have a baby around the same time as someone else, so we can do playdates and stuff. I'll always have HB though.

I don't have many mommy friends either. I have a few not close friends with kids, and I would just email them when I had a question.

Most of our friends are either single or married with multiple children and no longer TTC. One of my friends at work just had a baby in October, so I know she'll be a good support for during pregnancy. But for now, during the TTC phase, I'm pretty much relying on the online networks!
