About once every 4-5 days for fingernails and i use nail scissors - so easy and painless. I also have a little nail file that I use sometimes if there is a rough edge. The nail file was also what I used in the beginning for her toenails, but now I use the nail scissors for her toes too.

I use clippers about once a week. I usually just get a couple a day because she gets too wiggly.

Now: About one a week using nail clippers. I do it after bath so her nails are softer.
In the beginning I used to do it more often and would do it while she was nursing because she hated it and was already occupied.

I clip Wagon Jr.'s nails more than once a week, it seems! They grow so fast!! His hair grows fast too. Don't know what this means. I get lazy sometimes and he breaks his nails!! Sometimes they break really far down and I feel so bad for neglecting them. So far he hasn't bled from a broken nail yet.
I was terrified of clipping his nails when he was born, but very very soon it became no big thing. He never had a problem with me clipping them either, probably because I did it so religiously from when he was young. I tended to be that way because he sucked on his fingers, and then his nails would get really soft and tear and break. Plus I clip my dogs' nails weekly or every 2 weeks.
When he was a baby I'd file them down after clipping them a bit (just run the file over the freshly cut nails to dull them a bit).

Once a week with nail clippers. I keep a set in my car so if he ever falls asleep in the car (rare these days) I take advantage and do them when he won't throw a fit.

I tried once a week, but one of us usually ends up getting scratches by day 4, so that is when I do it. Which reminds me, he needs them done today, ouch! I usually set him on the changing table by the window so I can see better, he never has minded either.
I had baby nail clippers, but I just kept accidentally cutting him with them, so I just use my regular adult sized ones. Occasionally if I find a sharp edge I just bite it off. I'm used to trimming wiggly cat and dog nails, so baby nails are really easy- I don't eve have to wrap him in a towel or muzzle him

I use baby clippers. My LO thinks its funny when I clip her nails so its not a struggle!
