I'm on a plane so I can't take a pic, but we had professional baby proofers come. They first bolted the stand to the wall, then strapped the tv to the stand.

we didnt do anything, LO wasnt allowed to go close to it when she was younger. now she is old enough to know. But usually you can anchor the tv to the wall so even if it tips forward it cant fall on them

@SweetiePie: Oh, ok. The TV is already secured to the wall.
We have this Ikea Kallax shelf unit that holds our TV and media. It's in the horizontal position.

In particular, the babies keep touching the buttons on the DVD player and other media equipment. I don't think they sell glass doors for the Kallax. I need something that can go flush to the entertainment system, but clear enough that we can still use the media equipment. Maybe I should go to Home Depot and get wire shelving (or plastic gate) and and attach it to the front?
We don't have a ton a room in front of it so we can't erect a gate around the system.
ETA: I found this ikea hack, but I think I'm going to use one of my plastic gates and somehow attach it to the front. http://www.ikeahackers.net/2015/01/gladsax-frames-doors-kallax-expedit.html

We have a gate around it. There was no way to secure the tv to the wall and our entertainment center is pretty narrow. I didn't want her pulling up on it at all.

We mounted everything to the wall.
You can get a signal repeater that will allow your remotes to work through a solid surface.

@bluestriped bee: So I'm not sure if this makes you feel any better, but the babyproofers said there isn't any danger in him touching the cable box or dvd. It's just annoying.
I will say he got sick of it after a couple months or so and never really touches it anymore.

Our tv is mounted to the wall and the cable box and everything is in a closet behind the wall- like @oliviaoblivia: said we have a signal repeater (I never knew that's what it was called) so the remotes and video game controllers (ps4, it's how we watch DVDs and Netflix too) work through the wall. DH's doing, clearly, but it's nice that LOs can't mess with them. It's only annoying to have to go around the corner to change a DVD. The cable wires run through the wall.

Nothing's secured to the wall but our setup has worked for both our little people! (Obviously it's not a stylish solution but it works!)
