LO loves to chew on his hands and I'm wondering if it's safe to wipe his hands with a fresh diaper wipe at each diaper change to try to keep his hands clean. We are diligent about hand sanitizer/hand washing (for our hands) because we touch his hands quite frequently. But I just feel like I need to do something more to keep his hands clean.
Any suggestions?

I used to be particular about it and only use pacifier wipes (food grade) on my son's hands, but now that he's older and doesn't put his hands in his mouth anymore, I've relaxed the rules.

I'm pretty relaxed about whipping her hands, but I try to use food grade wipes when I do.

I have used wipes on her hands since the very beginning. I didn't realize there were different food-grade ones. Oops.

We can't use wipes on his hands anymore as they dried his hands out so much...even the sensitive, non-alcoholic ones were drying. We just use a wet paper towel now.

i use a wet wash cloth to wipe down her mouth and hands when we are at home. if we're out and about i use babyganics hand sanitizer wipes.

I didn't realize the difference of food grade wipes. We bathe LO every night so I wash her hands every night. Sometimes I will use a wet washcloth or a baby wipe too throughout the day because she likes to stick her fist in her mouth all the time! I saw Burt's Bees has a hand and face wipes... Didn't realize the difference between baby wipes and those, but now I am going to try those instead

We keep the Johnson's Baby Face & Hand wipes around to wipe off their hands. They're alcohol-free, so safe for baby.

When she was younger, I used a wet washcloth to wash her hands after every diaper change. If we were out, I used J&J hand/face wipes.
Now that she's older, I wash her hands with soap and water at the sink.
