LO is 7.5 months and loving purees, I want to give him dairy soon but don't know what to start with. His first teeth are just cutting through. What did you start your LOs with?

Yogurt! We did plain, full-fat yogurt for LO's first dairy (right around 7 months too). He loves it - we mix it with a fruit puree for his breakfast.

@beehive - did you buy regular yogurt for adults or specific baby yogurt?

Yogurt! We use full fat Greek and mix fruit in.

We bought baby yogurt as I couldn't find a good full fat yogurt at the time.

We started with greek yogurt with fruit mixed in and Babybel cheeses. He loves both! I believe that we tried it for the first time at around 7 months.

yoghurt first, then cheese!
plain greek yogurt, or just plain yogurt in general is good. mix in some fruit puree (prunes are his favourite!) and you're good to go!

We just got plain organic yogurt, the adult kind.

Ditto on Greek yogurt. I mixed it with a little bit of applesauce.

I read as diary and was confused until i saw responses!! lol. No experience here LO is too young but greek yogurt sounds like great idea!!

Plain organic yogurt. The plain kid ones are fine (like yo baby) but the fruit ones have SO much sugar added.

I used quark, which is like a soft cheese type thing, similar to yogurt. My son loves it but it's hard to find in the US.
