Hello, not sure if anyone is around or not. DD2 woke up this morning with a bit of a rash on her tummy. My mom texted me and said its also on her back and upper legs to about her knees. Just wondering if anyone knows what this is? She's had no other symptoms - no fever, runny nose, nothing out of the ordinary. TIA

Heat rash? Is it particularly warm or humid? One of my son's has pretty sensitive skin and he got a rash like that when I switched detergents once.

@LadyDi: yes, that's what I was thinking too, but the google photos didn't look the same lol and it is hot here (AZ), and we were in the pool yesterday afternoon. She woke up sweaty from her afternoon nap.

So, update: she now also has diarrhea. We'll wait and see how she does tonight and call the Dr tomorrow if things don't seem to improve.

@JennyLayneAZ: Oh no, I hope she feels better. My kids get a rash that looks like this after pretty much any kind of virus. It usually lasts just a day or two and doesn't seem to bother them much. So my guess is that she's got some sort of stomach bug and the rash is just a side effect.

Oh dear! I don’t think I’ve ever got a rash from my kids, yikes! Have you had a chance to see a dr? Also, I hope you can avoid the other symptoms

@JennyPenny: I took her to the Ped yesterday, its just a viral rash. He tested her for strep but that was negative. My rash isn't itchy or anything, its just there. But I do have a bit of a sore/dry throat, so, its just a cold I guess. I don't think the rash itself is/was contagious, at least the Dr didn't seem concerned about it at all. Just said to give her Zyrtec, which seems to have helped as her rash is much better today!

@JennyPenny: thank you If it weren't for the rash, I'd attribute everything I'm feeling to allergies, so, I'm not that bad off lol
