Rice crispy treats! Especially molded in silicone molds into a tree shape or something and decorated with sprinkles or frosting.
Hot cocoa "kits" with a candy cane for a swizzle stick.
Standards ... like brownies and chocolate chip cookies
Popcorn!

I generally prefer to buy things that are not messy and can travel well - because I probably won't eat it right then and there.
I like rice krispie treats, large brownies (fun to fix in peanut butter chips or caramel), blondies, seven layer bars, big cookies, and good dessert breads - pumpkin, banana, lemon, etc.

I like things with icing, so either cupcakes or iced brownies, but those are messy so that might make me a weirdo. With anything I like things that I can plainly identify what flavor it is rather then trying to guess if something is mint or lemon or whatever.

A few unconventional things that sell super super well at our daycare bake sale (which is in a large office building so different demographic probably) are breakfast items! People love to get a blueberry muffin or a slice of banana bread to take to their desk in the AM. We also do yogurt parfaits. And people make whole banana bread loaves and coffee cakes that always sell immediately. Last year I did iced sugar cookies with royal icing and those sold super quick because they were cute (snowmen, mittens, etc.).

Fudge....the kind you make with Fluff. If you layer a couple flavors, it looks super fancy!

I don’t generally buy much, but my go-to yo bring to bake sales is Martha Stewart’s carrot cake cookies and they always get raves and are the first things to sell out. This year somebody thanked me in advance for making them again.

Rice Krispies treats made with the chocolate ones. Also, smores treats... cocoa puffs and golden grahams mixed and made like rice krispies treats.

I love cheesecake brownies or brownies with cream cheese. We never make them but if I see them I want them.

As part of both the PTO at my daughter's school and the FRG (Army Family Readiness Group for DH's unit), I spend an inordinate amount of time baking, selling, and purchasing to support. I find the following treats most successful:
1.) Cake pops - easily carried decadent treats that pose little to no mess and can be decorated as "eye candy." These take in a lot of revenue.
2.) Decorated and multi-flavored cereal treats - Rice Krispie treats with mini marshmallows or tiny chocolate chips, chocolate Rice Krispie bars drizzled in PB, Chex Mix bars, Friuity Pebble bars ....
3.) Cookies - Nothing beats an awesome CC cookie or an amazing sugar cookie (little kids love these and parents enjoy sugar cookies are less messy than ones with CC or gooey parts)
4.) Gluten free options - beyond Rice Krispie treats, offering one or two GF options (lemon bars, cookies, or muffins) is a sure win.
5.) Breakfast/snack items packaged TO GO - chocolate dipped biscotti in a baggie ready to dip in one's work coffee, brownies (ANY flavor) prewrapped and ready to roll, muffins in little containers, quiche poppers prepackaged, cupcakes (labeled with flavor) ready to go, "gourmet" popcorn (parmesan, jalapeno, chocolate, bacon, etc) in baggies ... People on the go or who are headed back to work LOVE these.
