I'm on day 2 of a nipple rest thanks to the damage done by my tiny 8 day old barracuda. My DD is not happy about all the time I'm having to put in pumping (whether I pump where she is or on my own) and I am feeling really guilty. I end up EPing with her and although hoping to be able to nurse again with DS, worried she is going to resent the time away. How do others handle EPing with more than one LO? Does it get easier?

I'm about to go through this as I plan on EPing for #2. So I have some tips from my EP group on FB
-Make sure you have a handsfree bra - this way you can do things
-Make your pumping time a craft time or book time or some other special time with DD - or even letting her play on a phone/table while you pump if you need to (and ONLY while you pump)
-If she's a little older, sit down and explain that this is how she was fed, and now it's how little one will be fed - and help her feed kiddo the bottle so she feels involved. -
It gets easier. My son pretends to pump now when I pump. And when I can tell it is a bad time to ask him for patience I do let him use a tablet. Maybe try some special pumping toys in a basket. Something new and self contained like a set of animals to play farm or whatever she's into. Then when it's time to pump you can say, "mommy is going to pump now. You get your special basket of toys and when I am done you can help me wash up!" (If your LO is as obsessed with water play as mine. Otherwise when you're done you read a book together or whatever she likes.)
