Would you pay extra for BPA free balls?
Getting my nephew a birthday gift and I found a cute ball pit. I found a great deal for 200 balls for $13, but then I see the option of BPA free balls. They are almost double the price.
I think for my nephew, I'll pay extra for the BPA free. I have no idea how my sister feels about it.
If you got it as a gift, would you check to see if the balls were BPA free?
I think I wouldn't even think about it if I received it as a gift.

Would never cross my mind! I'm not a stickler about plastic anyway, but when I do check its only related to food items (storage, plates, cups, etc).

I did pay extra for BPA-free balls as a neurotic first-time mother. However, if I received them as a gift, I doubt I would check to see if they were BPA-free.

If I got that as a present I wouldn't even think about it.
I guess it depends on whether she's very conscious about that stuff or not...

@psw27: Do you get BPA free plasticware? Your LOs won't be ingesting it but some parents don't want that type of plastic near food or their kids mouths.

@T.H.O.U.: Oh, you don't let them have the balls in their mouths? I'm thinking my almost 6 month old twins put everything in their mouths. I guess if they are older, it might be easier to teach them not to do that.

This wouldn't even occur to me. My kids have a ton of plastic balls and I have no idea if they are BPA free or not (and I don't care).

I would absolutely pay extra for the BPA free balls. I also would check to see if it was BPA free if it was given as a gift. I don't want my baby rolling around in that crap.

@bluestriped bee: I think so but I'm not 100% sure. I guess I misused the word ingesting, I more meant that the balls are too large to fit in his mouth so if he randomly licks them or something I'm not as worried about it as I would be serving him hot soup out of a plastic bowl with bpa.
