Bao posted about savings accounts for little ones about 3 weeks ago, and Mediagirl just posted about college savings.

I'd like to open an account as soon as LO is born. Ideally I would like to open him a "savings" account, so if he gets any money for birthdays, baptism etc it can go into that account.

Then I would like to open an account where we can contribute $$ for college.

What banks/credit unions do you recommend? I would like one with good online banking that is easy to use. Local branches are not important as most banking will be online or by mail.
